SDL1503 how long did it take them to arrange your valuation after you had been offered the mortgage?

Hi, not aware of any problems with the valuation.
Full application went in on Tuesday 11th February, offered mortgage on Friday 21st February, valuation next working day on Monday 24th February and all approved 2 days later on Wednesday 26th February. Not had anything in writing apart from confirmation email from MA.

Sounds good to me. I hope it's that quick from here for me!

Thinking I should send the solicitors paperwork back now with payment for searches. Really need to move quick we were hoping to move by the end of March! No chain and their solicitors are ready to go as they had everything ready before the last sale's buyers fell through.

Our solicitors said they wouldn't start searches until they had the formal mortgage offer.
Also have you checked your solicitor is on Santander's panel? Someone mentioned that earlier in this thread, you can check on Santander's website.

Santander came back and said our solicitor wasn't, which we thought was odd as solicitor said she worked with Santander a lot. Obtained the panel number and submitted it to santander, all ok now but wasted 2.5 days while they checked!

We gave the MA the solicitors details at the time we submitted all the documents so I am assuming so. The MA and our Solicitors are in the same town so would hope they know if they are or not.

Quick update-M Broker submitted mortgage application on 15th Feb. Abbey/Santander formally passed to Underwriter 26 Feb. They apologised for delay due to massive backlog. Based on other people's timelines i can see it being another 2 weeks before we find out if it's good news or bad news.

Went to underwriting on weds 26th
