Abbey/Santander application - Delay

Our application went in Thursday 13th. Heard on Fri they want Feb pay slip. (Not available until this fri!)
Wish they would just do the valuation as our buyers think we are not serious and won't take the property off the market!

How are we all getting along with applications? Abbey approved on Friday and valuation was yesterday much to my surprise and delight.

our application went in on 14/02. Broker called yesterday to say they asked for bank statement (which he then sent over) seemed a bit strange that he never sent it all together with the application.

Been told it is with the underwriters yesterday so just waiting for more news.

surely cant be too long now lol

From when you had your valuation? They are really dragging their feet aren't they?!

Broker contacted me yesterday afternoon-Underwriters continue to have backlog so ours hasn't even been looked at yet. Valuation won't occur until Underwriter has made decision. Broker keeps reassuring me but the wait is truly dreadful.

Yes that's what we were like, the worry if you were going to be approved. I'm sure you will be, everyone else here has been.

Tell me about it! I notice the Santander intermediaries site says over 14 days now.

Literally just had an email from the mortgage advisor saying the mortgage center is saying tomorrow and that she'll keep checking and let us know as soon as there is a change.

It is pretty nerve racking though waiting for each stage, so I do feel sorry for those that haven't heard anything yet.

My case manager left voicemail and text message today to say my mortgage offer has been issued and will be with me shortly.

How many times were you all credit checked with Santander and does it appear on your experian report as 'First mortgage' (if it is your first mortgage).
