Abbey/Santander application - Delay

So after lurking around i thought id start my timeline
Shared ownership property
Aip through broker with santander : 09th june
Submitted docs :10/11th june
Email from broker to say application submitted : 12th june
Advised should hear back from santander 5/7 working days.
Looking at other posts it seems it may take longer.
Waiting is unbearable, does anyone know if applications for help to buy are taking longer because of the high volume of applications, compared to normal applications taking less time. ( mine is a normal application)
Or is it just one queue?
Good luck to all waiting.0 -

would it be wise to get a structural survey - companies are requesting 500.00ish
All they will do for the valuation is ensure that the property is worth what you have offered... i.e. if you defaulted on the payments, could the lender get back the money you own them on it.
Some lenders do a drive by valuation, where they don't even enter the property.0 -
I'm wondering if I need to start worrying now.
My application was completed on 27th May, and I am still waiting on the outcome of the underwriting.
Would I know by now if there had been any issues do you think?0 -

Do you have your case reference number, you can check your progress by entering this on santander intermediaries site, password is your post code.
me and my colleague have both applied via different brokers to santander. My colleague applied in May, i applied last week, 12th June.
Me and my colleague both checked our progress yesterday. The information on there basically tells you when santander have requested more info etc, and when your broker has sent it, what stage your application is at.
my details basically stated my application was submitted 12th june, more docs requested 13th june, broker submitted docs same day, and passed to underwriter. Its now in the queue.
My colleagues data was shocking. Her broker was asked to submit information twice in May,and both times the broker had taken 5 days to submit the docs that he ALREADY had. Her application was basically passed to underwriters 1st week of June, she still hasnt had any decisions, but thats due to other factors as well
But my point is chase your broker. I think brokers not sending docs etc are holding up applications.0 -
Valuation back from the valuer
Application Offered
Very close now - Just have to wait to see it in black and white when it comes through the post and when it goes to my solicitor. Hopefully exchange a week tomorrow maybe.....

I'm just looking at the MATs tracker -
On my latest application the last message on MATs is
Underwriter decision: Application agreed 18th Jun 2014
On my last application it showed valuation instructed immediately after Underwriter agreed the case
Underwriter decision: Application agreed 12th Mar 2014
Valuation instructed 12th Mar 2014
Valuation received 14th Mar 2014
I read from this they haven't instructed a valuation, should I chase them up? broker says its being done but I don't hold much faith in her.pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?id=39350&sid=359520 -
Hi, I tried logging in to the Santander Intermediaries page but it didn't work, does this only work for mortgages through a broker?
My reference is 22 numbers long, sound right?
We had our phone interview on 9th June (2.5 hours long!), still waiting for news. I've rang them once but they didn't have an update.0
