I cant believe how quickly they had the survey completed! Mortgage agreed Thursday, the survey was today, Monday. Hopefully now, this is the last hurdle...

    GOOD LUCK!

My MA said on receipt of survey goes back to underwriters, santanderforintermediaries says today they were assessing 2nd June so guess that explains it !! Good luck !!! They instructed our valuation super quick too last hurdle for you I'm sure !! :j
  • Still waiting, Underwriters asked another question 2nd june, and went back to the underwriters on the 6th june - they are currently as of today looking at applications sent to underwriters on the 4th june so more than likely won't get a response now till next week.

As i said to my broker - if the underwriters require anymore questions being answered it will roughly take 2 full weeks to get a response back from underwriters - absolute joke!

No disrespect to others here but I'm reading cases where people are putting down the minimal amount needed to get a mortgage and its flying through.... !!!!!!

We have gone direct to Santander. We had a meeting with payslips, statements etc and were given a mortgage offer to be taken up before October. We've paid for the valuation and expect that to be arranged shortly.

Please can anyone tell us, in their experience, what happens next? Does this offer mean as long as the valuation comes in ok it's all go, or will they be looking at the application again and asking for more info?

    Any help appreciated thanks

Do you mean an AIP as they usually need the valuation back before they offer ??
  • Finally : Underwriter decision: Application agreed
Just need to see when the valuation will be booked for and hopefully now its plain sailing :)
  • Valuation Instructed :)
  • Valuation booked for the 19th :)

    Slowly getting there....

Hi all, we have just started our application with Abbey using L&C and were wondering what documents they are likely to require as part of the process.

We have already submitted payslips / proof of income, are there any other docs they will definitely require down the line e.g statements for all accounts for the last three months?

    many thanks
  • valuation...its just this correct? or will they see if its structurally sound
would it be wise to get a structural survey - companies are requesting 500.00ish
