That would be far too easy!

    I feel the pain! :(

This is my biggest worry too... :(:(:(

As much as I love a Bank Holiday, the wait has been painful!!!

I first got credit checked on the 7th of Feb, and now it's the 24th of April and still no valuation yet. Broker said he's seen nothing like this and that they are querying the same thing they did before!

He said today that he has raised the issue with his 'Building manager' I think he said, not sure what or who that is and that he is hoping to get our case looked at immediately rather than back of queue again. Said he would be in touch this afternoon with something.

Santander are hopeless at the moment so I wouldn't be beating up on your brokers too badly ! There is only so much we can do and feel your frustrations with them equally !

We can only relay what we are told by Santander, and to be perfectly frank, the standard 24 to 48 hours to hear back on anything means a week at least. Like I say, apart from badgering them there is little we can do to speed them up at the moment !

Yeah I gathered this, It's just frustrating as we are holding up a chain at the moment and it's not a nice feeling. I just feel like we have been waiting exceptionally long!

Good to know that it's not our brokers wrong doing but Santanders.
  • Well it has taken 4 weeks but we were told today that a valuation has been instructed. Fingers crossed it doesn't take long to official offer now! !

For those checking mats system and saying brokers are not uploading documents when they say they are - we are

one of my live cases reads

    application submitted 4th april 10:26

broker upload recieved 4th april 10:45 (this is the documents)

documents information requested 9th april 10:06

broker message recieved 9th april 10:22 (me saying you already have these documents

documents recieved 12th april (documents I uploaded on the 4th)

    passed to underwriter 12th april

documents outstanding 18th april 2:52pm (a query on bank statement)

broker document submission recieved 18th april 3:58 pm (answer to query)

documents information outstanding 23rd april (yup the query I uploaded on the 18th)

passed to underwriter on the 24th april

Before blaming the brokers if you are checking mats see if it says when documents were uploaded by the broker to the case. If there is a delay in uploading docs then fair enough blame the broker but santander don't say they have recieved documents until they have been put on by processing so it may not be that the broker hasn't sent it

    23/3/14 - AIP
    24/3/14- full application submitted
    3/4/14 - more info submitted
    15/4/14 - approval pending valuation
    22/4/14-valuation at 8.30am, approval 11.30 am

I've not received confirmation through the post yet though.

So a month exactly and that includes 10 day delay for info that our broker should have submitted in the first place, and a 3 day bank holiday in between. I don't think that's bad at all. But my application went in just before the extra MMR checks came into place (phew!)
