PLEASE HELP - returning a mattress

Hi all.

OK, brought a mattress, got it 5 days ago and cannot sleep on it.

Its to hard for me and i have resorted to sleeping on the couch.

The place i brought it from will not take it back and offered a smaller size topper to go on top which is an absolute joke

Its a super king and cost best part of £1000.

What can i do.

Surely there is 7-14 day standard return or something.

I cant sleep, im £1000 out of pocket and no bed to sleep on.

someone please help me, what can i do

I am not an expert (there are many on here) but if its not faulty, I dont think there is anything you can do. Did you try it in store?

If they refunded you, what would you expect them to do with the mattress

Its like selling a car to someone who cant drive.

would a mattress still be able to be returned under distance selling if it has been used?

Did you try it in the shop?

If you bought a car and after 5 days said you didnt like it/couldnt drive it, would you expect a refund

How many nights did you try it for? New beds do take a while to get used to.

Unless the bed is faulty, you have no right to return.

i have a bad back and tried only lying on my back as i couldn't lie on my side.

i sleep on my side and so cannot sleep on the mattress. I was in a lot of pain when i brought it just getting back from the osteopath

If you brought a bed and 5 days after didnt have a single night sleep would you want a refund ?

its not that i dont like it, this is about me not being able to sleep. nothing to do with liking on not

I might want a refund but I wouldn't expect one - there is nothing wrong the bed, it just doesn't suit you.
