    Latest sewing.
I still have around 12 new tea towels left after using some for stitcheries.
Looks like family will get stitchery tea towels for more than one Christmas.
I have finished sewing the last of the stitchery tea towels. So that is a part of my Christmas presents done.
I have really enjoyed working on them.

    More sewing.
Had a go at making pencil cases for presents today.
I have two young DGDs - these pencil cases will be for them. I still have another pencil case to make for my eldest DGD.

Ooooh so sweet Florence. The one thing I am so reluctant to do is put a zip into anything. The last time I did was years ago when I went on an upholstery course and made a patchwork cushion. Now I make my cushions with envelope openings.
I've just got a huge stumbling block when it comes to thinking about using zips, though I'm sure there's an easy y*u tube tutorial on them.
Hmmm I may have to make this my April challenge -to master zips.

I don't like sewing in zips either.

  • Hello everyone. I haven't been on this thread for a while as have had a lot going on, including moving. Is it alright for me to join you again. I have brought a dressmakers dummy and a few pattern and want to start making my own clothes again. In our new house the downstairs bedroom is doubling up as my craft room. I can't wait to get started.

Hi craftycrafty. Looking forward to seeing your makes. I've had some lovely chiffon type material I bought ages ago with the intent of making a really simple long top but haven't plucked up the nerve yet! I'm fine with quilts and soft toys etc but for some reason I've got a mental block about clothes.

  • Hi all sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but didn't no where else to put it. I've been looking for a beatrix potter alphabet sampler cross stitch chart and can only find the kits at 40 a piece. Does anyone no,where I might be able to,get a chart from? At a reasonable price? Xxx
