Hi Tina. I'd love to make dresses for myself and I've bought a fairly simple pattern but does using a dressmakers dummy really make it that much easier? I'd love to know how you get on with itI was hoping for some advice please. I have been looking for a jelly roll for my next project. I came across Secret Garden Quilting (SecretGardenQuilting.co.uk) They have Jelly Rolls for £28.50 which looks good value. Does anyone have any experience ordering from this site? Thank you
Hi BeaQ. I've never bought from them but had a quick google for reviews and if you go to their main website there are 3 good reviews from people who have bought from them if that's any help to you.
My last make was a couple of weeks ago, some cotton flowery bunting for a colleague at work who's just bought a caravan. She was over the moon with it.
Well, the small leak in the spare room ceiling has now been fixed (touch wood) and I've bought wallpaper, paint and curtains ready to turn it into my craft room. It also has to double as a bedroom for the grandchildren when they stay so I'll have to get looking on the internet for some inspiration.
I've bought a lovely solid gate leg table for my sewing machine so this can be folded down when the grandchildren stay.
I must stop being lazy and upload my photos so I can put them on here. Thank you for helping dizzy lizzie. I looked on the site but didn't see any reviews. May I ask where you found them. Thanks once again0

I have gone ahead and bought a jelly roll and a cushion kit. It was a very easy to use site and it was sent same day! I will let everyone know when I get them0

Where are all the sewers?
Since I moved my craft room downstairs - everything gets more dust.
So I looked online to see if there was a tutorial for sewing a cover for my Cuttlebug - couldn't see one so made it up as I went along.
I lined the cover and overlocked the seams. I used the cup cake fabric so it matches with my ironing board/sleeve board covers. The fiddly bit was making a hole for the Cuttlebug handle.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I made a drawstring bag for my Clover Iron attachments. Also a case for the Clover Iron. The drawstring bag goes in the case. Ribbon is from a recovered padded hanger.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
