    Bling!!
I have the task of sewing lots of bling onto bedding and cushions for a customer! I quoted £30, as I thought it would take me about two hours!
I underestimated by a Long way:(
I spent two hours just for two cushions!
I have two cushions, two pillowslips and a duvet cover all still to do!
So that's what I will be sewing at home tonight while watching the TV!
As I have other jobs that will pay me more for less time!
I must be more aware of the time!
Yesterday I was showing a lady how to use her overlocker yesterday.
Sometimes I amaze myself at how much I know sewing machines etc.
I never realised when I started my alterations that I would be cleaning, servicing, and trouble shooting people's machines as well as my own!
I spend nearly as much time with plyers, screwdriver and hammer, then I do with needles and thread.

Today's agenda is a replacement zip in a coat, 4 coats to shorten sleeved, two men's waistcoats to take in, and a few pairs of trousers to shorten, an Indian dress to work on and a unusual jacket to set sleeves in. That little lot will keep me busy till well past closing today.
I think I have some fitting or other to do as well.

The new ribbon bundles that I am selling have started to sell already and I have ordered more. Let's hope it brings in sales of other things like the patterns and fabrics!

I don't have a proper on line account but I do sell and post, if required.
If you google me, or Facebook you will find me.
I hope to get the shop stock on my website one day but at the moment my website is set up my self and I don't really know what I am doing!
If you can't find my Facebook page under my name ( mooloo's) of the Town I live in send me a PM. If I have any offers etc I can keep you in the loop.)
I was kept busy as I expected today, and time got the better of me.
I will need to stop longer after work tomorrow to keep on track.
I have another commission to make a 60's style dress now as well.

I buy them in IKEA cheaper then buying the fabrics!

Anyone got any wisdom on industrial machine models? I'm doing an upholstery course in a few months with a view to maybe doing stuff myself (certainly got my own car interior I want to do) & there seems to be a few second hand industrial models on gumtree locally.
    Thanks
    - Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
    - Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps

I have never used them, but wish I could afford one! My lady who works with me has used them.
    Hope someone can help you

Gosh i envy you, something i would love to do, but knees and back would'nt stand the the bending and kneeling. I would love to do a textile course but even doing an online one costs megga bucks and i can't afford it anyway. The nearest college which do these courses is 20 miles away and i have alas never bothered to learn to drive.
Good luck and let us know how you get on won't you.

I've wanted to for a while with a view to doing something on the side craft/upholstery/sewing having been inspired by mooloo.
The course I'm going on is run by an upholstery business rather than a college so do investigate near you as you may be surprised. It's only 4 days but should cover a wide range of skills/techniques.

Im investing in myself & my intetests this year, I'd like to do a leatherwork course as well at some point hence the consideration of maybe getting an industrial machine that could cope with those materials.
