May i ask for some advice please. I bought a pink cord three quarter length coat with the intention of dying it (pink is not really me) but first I needed to unpick the embroidery on the cuffs and pockets. This is not going well and I really would appreciate any hints or tips to get this back on track. (i think it is machine embroidery)0

Have you tried any of these tips? I think I'd go about it with a sharp scalpel.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
Ocemeer. Sorry abit late in replying but I wonder if the machine embroidery would leave minute holes if you unpick it? If so maybe a piece of braid or something would cover it up?0

Has anyone tried the hobbycraft mini sewing machine it's half price at £12.50 and thought it doesn't look too bad, what do you guys think? I'm a complete sewing machine novice, i don't want to spend loads and not use it, thanks in advanceCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: Seascape Kit - Crochet:0

Not too sure about the small sewing machines. One of my daughters bought one from Argos and we couldn't get it to work properly. How about looking at gumtree etc to see if they have any cheap ones going. My DH just got one from local auction for £4.40, an older model.....just need to see if it works now, looks OK tho, nice and clean.0

Just getting into needle thread painting. Here is a cheeky little blue tit that I copied from Trish Burrs embroidery book.
