The web around the eggs led me to that conclusion.

Like a caterpillar-about-to-turn-moth in a cacoon? (Autocorrect changed that to raccoon lmao, now that would be funny!)

    You got a pic op?

again many critters spin a web/ thread type sac for there eggs.

leave them to hatch and see what they are, put them in a Tupperware container (with some big holes so they can breath) and with a fish finger in so they have something to eat.;)

I agree a raccoon would be much easier to identify, as they have a bushy tail:rotfl:

The last thing I'd want to do is let them hatch and see what they are. I'd be having nightmares for weeks.

OP...I can't believe you've kept them in your fridge! I wouldn't keep the package in my house let alone in my fridge.

Does it have to be an M&S fish finger? ;-)

I have wrapped them in about 5 layers of clingfilm and tied it inside 3 plastic bags, that was the only way they were staying in my house. If M&S don't get back to me with a decent reason to return them tomorrow, they won't be in the house a minute longer than necessary!

Why have you put them in the fridge ? Why aren't they in the garden or the bin ?

Get rid of them, or it. It could just be some sort of fungus.

Mountains and molehills springs to mind.

Personally i dont see why everyone is being so rude to the op. Shops regularly do offer some sort of compensation for this sort of thing. I feel a voucher for m&s would be an appropriate apology, op.

Thanks, that's all I wanted from them, I was hoping for the amount that I spent, but a guesture of apology generally, which I would have expected as a voucher. I shop there fairly regularly, so I would use it within a few weeks.

all you can expect is replace or refund the grapes, you wont get full money back.

the suspicious concealment would have to be verified, as it could just be a bit of fluff. (ive been told that some folk plant stuff them selves, so ive been told, I don't know).m&s will just throw them cos if there dangerous then they wont want to hatch them and if there not dangerous then whats the point in hatching them, so they will be binned, you will be refunded, job done.;)

And then the op is quite within her rights to call in health and safety which i dont think m&s would really want.
