  • If you signed up for the essentials TV package and later bought a plus TV box off eBay, you would get the exact same functionality as a plus TV customer from that eBay box.

We have 4 extra boxes all bought off eBay, they all have the same functionality as the box supplied by TalkTalk and all TV boost channels work on all boxes.

Recording of internet channels is still not available and customer testing of this functionality starts in march, you can join the trial via their forums along with a trial of their new TalkTalk player.

Yeah. True that. But a user on the YouView forum has recently reported that he bought a second hand Humax box off ebay and it will (record the internet channels)! Bizarre or what?

I was not disagreeing with you, you had third hand knowledge due to some one unrelated to you reporting on a another forum that humax boxes could record internet channels.

I was confirming that with first hand knowledge and adding detail that the BT branded boxes can do the same
