Your problem is solved anyway come April (or when your are granted independence!)
So Salmond is going to fix the sound levels on my TV?0 -
you are best keeping the skyhd box at max and just using the tv volume to guage levels. If there is an autovolume setting within the Sony Bravia sound settings, turn this off;it has a habit of boosting levels on different broadcast material.0

Indeed, there was much gnashing of teeth over on Skyuser when they got rid of the volume control.
As I recall it was when they changed the EPG a couple of years ago. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
well go into sound settings within System Settings on skyhd max the sound level and SAVE SETTINGS. the box will stay at max then adjust tv volume with Sony remote NO PROBLEM!0

From what I remember when I looked into this some time ago it turned out that Sky were/are well aware of the low volume problem in the Sky HD box and have refused to correct it ever since.0 -
As already pointed out, the Sky+HD does not have a "MAX" setting because it has no volume control!well go into sound settings within System Settings on skyhd max the sound level and SAVE SETTINGS
You can alternate between stereo and mono for "audio output" and between normal and Dolby surround for HDMI and Optical.
No other sound settings are available and the volume is not adjustable.0
