HOUSE PRICES WILL NEVER CRASH!
Of course not everyone will agree with me now!!! but come the HPC things will change!!!
Anyone that willingly would destroy the UK economy in such a way should be treated as such:p
Sorry - but I am a British Patriot - not a fascist but someone that loves his country and I'm not ashamed of that!!:cool:0 -
I just received a nice private message from "The Law" saying........

So is everyone who buys a HOME (not a house) to LIVE IN (i.e. a roof over their head, somewhere of their own, their own little love nest that they can paint and modify as they please) is a moron?

You sound like a great person, can I be your friend? Do you laugh at people who get cancer or have their children kidnapped too?

Instead of women having the opportunity to earn a man's wage, they earn half a man's wage with a man earning the other half. It takes two workers to buy a house. The alternative is for one or two non-workers to get a house from the welfare state.
Just a thought.

Quite respectfully, that's bollux (IMHO of course!). Women (certaibly in working class communities) have always worked - often from home or in cottage industries; perhaps taking in washong or weaving or minding children etc.
The 'ideal' of the stay-at-home housewife/mother was brought into force with government propoganda in teh 1950s. It was basically a post-war strategy/ideal to get women to drop the jobs they had taken during the war to 'back-fill' the gaps left by men leaving for the front. Once those men were back, they wanted 'their' jobs back and the govt wanted the men in work.0 -

IMOH you are the one talking bollux.. Most women in previous generations stayed at home to raise their kids, my mother did, both my grandmothers did, and I'm sure their mothers did.
This is why we have discipline problems with the youth that are being raised by minimum wage childminders and breakfast / after-school clubs.
The mothers can not afford to stay at home to raise children they way they should be raised...0 -

All good valid points and the argument may well be bollux - as you so eloquently
put it.
If a man earning the main wage and a woman earning pin-money was the norm, then women would be working by choice. Today most women work because of necessity - to pay a mortgage.
Seems we are breeding out the middle earners. The rich can afford to have families and the poor get more benefits for every child they have. The working married couple cannot afford children as both wages are required to pay the mortgage.
BTW, I love women at work and fully respect their contributions. My argument is not meant to be one of male dominance.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.0 -
your thick
Oh please, the maturity in your petty name calling says more about you than I ever could....
I don't want to start comparing educational certificates on here with you, but judging by your posts, i've no need to...
You want the housing market to crash so you can "laugh my knackers off at all the sob stories" because thats all you've got it your sad little life to keep you amused... well I for one don't wish to see families out on the street bankrupt and eating scraps out of the bin so if that makes me thick, so be it....
I can't even talk about what that makes you, but moron doesn't even start to do you justice!0 -

Yes - Cheers Pobby I'd deleted it and couldn't remember the guy, that's why I assumed he'd started multiple ID's. I do wish his carers would keep him away from the Computer!0
