What Crash ?

if theres going to be a 30% crash in prices as people keep saying then that means they will almost lose 50% of their profit anyway
they will just build out the sites that maintain their profit margin...the rest they will land bank until the market picks up again
So you're suggesting that builders will simply cease to function now?
Or that should prices drop, they'll restrict supply? To remain afloat, they'll have to continue building. And with a downturn in the market, margins from existing stock will fall. They may have no choice but to develop land banks.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Output will continue as they scramble to stay afloat.
Depends what the options are.
Maintaining employees and output whilst reducing profits is hardly attractive to shareholders.
Suppose I supplied all the water butts in the UK. Would I continue employing the full workforce during a period of sustained rain?

No actually  I know of probably a dozen individual places (there is bound to be alot more, I dont keep up, and they probably arent ALL news worthy except to the locals). I also know of a few new developments... a quick google will find you plenty.

It is really over the next 2-3years that alot will start appearing (esp with the 0 stamp duty I think was announced?)0 -

just because someone advertises a development as eco friendly doesnt mean it's carbon neutral to the governments standards for 2016
i quote from the swecohomes website
"have installed a small but efficient condensing boiler that operates off the mains gas supply"
to be carbon neutral for building regs purposes you are not allowed to connect to mains gas:rotfl:0 -

from the one planet living development they talk about having 8 wind turbines for 172 homes
this is not enough (its no way near)
the rest of the electricity they will be "guarenteed new capacity resource"
i could do that now by just paying a bit more on my electricty bill
