I usually just come on MSE - then really needing to de-stress I go on Youtube. listen to some music or vids of funny animals. but for major de-stress situations I get outta town! even in winter, visiting a beach calms me down. for some its the countryside. take a drive, go for a car picnic, a nice meal at a relaxing pub.
the nice meal in a nice pub, with a lovely view - heaven!

For me baths are my ultimate escape.

Light some candles, chuck in some lush goodies and get a good book out

Never fails to de-stress me :)

Failing that walking on some music to match my mood helps

Once I finished what I had to do I ended up having a bath. Not the most relaxing bath ever I have to say as the gales had triggered someone's alarm on Wednesday night that was still droning on and on over 24 hours later.

If I knew where it was coming from next week I'd pop over and tell the homeowner that our company can install alarms that comply with the ACPO Intruder Alarm policy (that most alarms don't!) and will automatically shut the fudge up after 20 minutes so as not to violate noise pollution laws and annoy the crap out of others.

Anyway, day off today. Popped out earlier and bought some new air fresheners so the house smells summery. That's quite nice. I have an app on my phone that has multiple phone number "blacklists" so everyone at work just got blocked, except for any numbers that relate to actual emergencies and not the standard "I don't know how to do my job!" calls I tend to get.

Still feeling a little... I don't know, uncomfortable, but that might just be the weather. Been an odd week really. Wife's doing work this afternoon and does not wish to be disturbed so hopefully I can get some work done on my little side-project :)

Got a movie night planned for tonight since its V-day.
