I would struggle to laugh at the sight of George Osbourne being subjected to a bird poo bombing run by 1,000 irate pigeons.

Can I laugh at that for you please? :D:p

It doesn't even feel like I'm awake, everything has an almost surreal, dreamlike quality to it.

Not trying to delve into what may be the root cause of this, but could you be suffering from shock over something? That can make you feel as above.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

I love a nice cocktail - particularly an espresso martini.

    or a Louisiana hurricane,
    or a dirty martini,
    or a strawberry margarita,
    or a Fresh Air,
or a Long Island Iced Tea

Sit down, sip and peruse the newspaper.

    Heaven!
  • I could produce a nice long list of publicly acceptable things; exercise, meditate, walk, read a book...but in reality when I like to relax an have had a rough time I sit on the sofa, under a blanket, stuff my face with chocolate/crisps/chips/pizza/anything equally as unhealthy, and watch Bridget jones's diary. I get the feeling this course of action may not suit everybody! Hope you feel better soon Tropez xx

Feel free. May I also recommend the image of any other irksome politicians you can think of being pelted with the dried waste of a thousand chimpanzees? You can imagine the chimps dressed in pirate costumes if you so desire, complete with eye-patches and hats. Maybe one could have a small parrot on its shoulder?

No, it's not shock. For reasons I shan't go into here I do have concern for the welfare of a close friend, and my fence blew down, and various other things have gone wrong. On top of that, my phone has been busier than normal, and with everything going on over these past few days everything seems a waste.

I have what I shall call some side projects in order to express my creative side since I've grown weary of the drudgery of some aspects of life. I usually find these to be quite stimulating and entertaining and I've not had the opportunity to do anything about them because of the influx of different things for once. To those with hectic, busy lives this might not sound like anything particularly odd but it's a complete an unexpected swerve from normality that I find it somewhat draining.

Ah, I would love to stuff my face with junk food but alas I had my junk food allowance for the week yesterday.

Normally, I'd de-stress with a video game but even that lacks appeal right now.

Thank you for the suggestions everyone. :) You're a helpful lot.

Yep, I haven't been tested in a couple of years now. You can bet if I did smoke a big reefer, I'd be tested next week. :rotfl:
