What do you do to de-stress?

It's already been suggested I think - I lose myself in a novel for a while. That's always been my best escape mechanism from whatever is bothering me. This too will pass......:)[0

I can spend a happy hour or two on a site called Pinterest, especially the History section, and also the Science and Nature section. xx0

1. Scream and have a bleddy good cry. Rage at the world. (where you do this is optional!)
2. Pull yourself together after above, and clean a cupboard. Guarantee it's therapeutic, just one, small, cupboard that's been bugging you for ages.
3. Go to bed early, having imbibed a Baileys with a shot of Jameson. It's so much nicer than cocoa! And try to read that book...no way, sleepy sleepy, book on floor next day? Result!
4. Walk the socks off yourself. I actually mapped out a route that was 10k or so, and in a fit of pique, took off! I slept like a bambino for three nights. But my muscles were so sore..but I knew I had done something good.
I have had some tragedies, and a lot of hassle, but try not to let them get in on me (not easy).
But I do the above now and then..
I feel for you. Hope you are ok.0 -
I find it really hard to relax sometimes, but I usually find a walk, (even if it's just round the block) usually clears the cobwebs, and makes me feel more relaxed, as sometimes I get so restless.
I also have a lavender pillow spray. I know lavender has a reputation of being an old women's scent, but it is also a very relaxing scent, as is camomile. Sometimes when I can't sleep, I put a few sprays of my spray onto the pillow or duvet.0 -

I am doing this tomorrow (in the kitchen), I want them sorted because they've just become a dumping ground, and I like things to be organised! It's hard to get motivated sometimes, but you're right, it can be therapeutic, and me being a control freak, a tidy home = tidy mind and all that!0 -
walking the mutt, whatever the weather, usually de-stresses me followed by a hot shower and putting on my fleecy pjs
strangely enough walking in the wind / rain / wind & rain usually is better for blowing away the cobwebs2014 Target;
