What do you do to de-stress?

It's been such an odd and stressful couple of days. It doesn't even feel like I'm awake, everything has an almost surreal, dreamlike quality to it. Really could do with relaxing but can't quite figure out how.

I lie in the bath, sorry Tropez you're having a hard time.
Also walk the dog and eat, not so good.
Oh! Music, play fave music whether it's happy or sad, it still helps.

Meditate, read a good book, go for a run, yoga, swimming, splash out for a spa treatment, watch your guilty pleasure tv, spend sometime outside in the fresh air (if the weather isn't too bad where you are), watch some comedy, go to an art gallery. This is just some of the stuff that I do to relax.

All reasonable suggestions. It's freezing outside though and I've spent half the day doing really iffy repairs to the fence that the wind decided didn't need to be there. The actual expert won't be here until after the weekend :rotfl:

    I like the vocals...

That's an edited version of the song. The full version contains a longer intro and a longer guitar solo.

Procrastinate. Make a list of things to do and then don’t do any of them. Call it your procrastination list. Then make the decision to engage in something you really feel like doing instead. If you are not accepting, enjoying or enthusiastic about what you are doing then you shouldn’t do it. By procrastinating you often let go of resistance and become more relaxed. That is my excuse anyway.

Another way I love to relax and de-stress is to stick on one of my all time favourite funny films. The power of laughter has a wonderful effect on your mood and is one of the best feel good things you can do.

Hope you feel happier soon Tropez.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

    Walk
    Bath
    Sex
    Loud rock music

Avoid addictive activity like drink, smoke, gambling and the internet.

    Thanks.

I procrastinate all the time. I've always been quite adept at deciding if something doesn't need to be done right now, then it doesn't need to be done right now though it is a bad habit as it has set me back a few times on things I should do.

I would struggle to laugh at the sight of George Osbourne being subjected to a bird poo bombing run by 1,000 irate pigeons.

Maybe it's just tiredness? I can go to sleep in another 7 hours, yay.

I don't drink that much and quit smoking ages ago. Sex is out as the wife isn't physically capable and I don't think she's gonna let me hire a pro.

I have to play music through headphones as wife banned a lot of what I listen to while she's stuck at home so that limits how loud I can play it.... but one positive note is that for weeks I've had this annoying issue where audio through my headphones was crackly when the PC wasn't idling and today that's stopped! Yay!
  • I pick heavy things up and put them down again. Not randomly, mind you - actual weights ;)

I would exercise though, maybe a swim and sauna if you have a nearby leisure centre?
