there is also Cindy's Porch (http://www.cindysporch.net/) which is similar but less of the religious overtones.

I second the recommendation for Cindy's Porch, especially her email list which has a lot of great stuff not found on the website (it's not too frequent either - maybe 2 or 3 emails a month).

Thanks justamum, i was out this afternoon ... and just noticed that I spelled their name wrong!
I am impressed by the way they built their new house debt free, only buy clothes in charity shops and are so organised. I keep a bookmarked folder of websites like this as a form of escapism, but I can't imagine not wearing trousers and i don't think OM would enjoy having to make a decision - let alone all of them!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

In answer to query re looking up archive on the website for archived material from all websites that I mentioned in earlier posting.

In a centre box near top of page headlined "Web" there is a box that is largely blank (with just "http" in it). Type the name of website wanted after the "http". Underneath that box is a grey box marked "Take me back". Click on that and it goes to the archived material for the website you want (in this case hillbilly housewife - assuming you entered "hillbillyhousewife.com"). You find there a left to right list of years she had the website on internet, with a list of dates underneath each year heading. The first year there are only 2 dates - neither of which worked when I clicked on them. But all the other dates (the ones for succeeding years) that I tried did work. Try clicking on the last 2007 one to get the most up-to-date "pages" she put on the internet.
