I paid in full and they increased it as they want you not to be able to pay in full!
Partial payment means the Interest kicks in!

Maybe for some bizarre reason asking for an increase puts them off.
I have never asked I just get a letter offering it.

As for me, I always have an increase every four months till now. My limit is now 4050. if you want the increase before the given date just call the number on the letter and automated voice will ask you to choose option. the credit limit will be updated within 5minutes.

For me the increases was every four months too, account opened May 2014 with £250, October 2014 increased to £900 and February 2015 increased to £1450. I am expecting the next limit increase letter in May i think.

Some offtopic, but still related to Aqua:

Is it possible to upgrade my current Aqua Classic to Aqua Advance, or I need to close the Classic and make separate application for Advance? Thanks

received one from aqua, from 600 (first opening) to a £1500 limit..

i only use this mainly for travelling and £600 is a decent limit for this, will accepting the increase affect my ability to obtain a new CC in future as i currently have another card for purchases 0% for 19 months with a rather large limit (for me)
  • does anybody know if you have to ring up aqua credit cards to do a balance transfer or can you do it on their online site?.
  • You need to call.

Just as an aside to this- i will have had my Aqua card four months next month. I do everything online, I don't get paper statements. If they offered an increase would they still send a letter? It's not a problem if they do, just curious.

    Hi Ryan,
Personal experience is that you always get a letter when they offer an increase.

Aqua seem very generous with credit limit increases.

I've had my aqua advance for just over 3 years, my limit has steadlily gone up every 3-6 months from £250 to £7400 over the same time the interest rate has gone down to 19.9%

I usually pay off in full but have carried a balance a few times when I've needed to split a large purchase over a couple of months . . .
