I got a letter from Aqua saying they wanted to increase my credit limit. I scanned the letter quickly and then put it away planning to read it properly last night. However last night for the life of me I could t find where I'd put it. Must be going mad. Anyway, does anyone if I have let them know I want the increase or if I do nothing with it automatically happen?

  • From memory when my wife had one of these it was a case of call them if you didn't want the increase. If you don't let them know they apply the increase next statement.
  • There should have been a date on the letter of when the increase will happen, alternatively you can call them up and they can give you the increase immediately over the phone.

Thanks both. I don't really need the increased amount for anything right now so I'll just let them add it on whatever date its meant to be added. Still can't fathom with the heck I put the letter. :wall:
  • My partner got a letter from them last month which stated that her limit would be automatically increased to £750 'within 40 days' providing that her account is kept in good order (no missed payments etc)

I'm expecting it'll be after her February statement which is next week :)
This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.

I too received a letter a couple weeks ago to say they wanted to increase my limit from £600 - £1500 'within 40 days' or complete and return the enclosed slip if I didn't want the increase, so I called them and they actioned the increase straight away.
  • Sorry for asking question that is off the topic, please how long have you had your card before you receive limit increase letter.

    thanks

  • I opened my account last April with a credit limit of £250, I was given an increase to £600 around 6 months later and two weeks ago increased to £1500.
  • My wife's started at £500 and after 6months it was increased to £1200, she didn't even use it much.

I've had mine about 4 months now and my limit has just been increased from £250 to £600.

  • Beware of falling in the debt trap. Avail of credit only to the extent you can repay all your debts on due dates. Don't over leverage yourself. Do not risk a credit downgrade.
