The volunteering meeting was good. We are doing training for about 6 weeks (well, 6 sessions as not everyone can make it every week). We had a good laugh too and everyone gets on, although we probably won't see each other again after the training unless we happen to be at the same meetings again in the future
It's fun at the moment though
I ordered a couple of things from Amazon for LMG's Christmas. From me, she is getting her main present (mixer) and stocking presents so I am well on the way to finishing buying for her.
I have bought Christmas cards but not written them yet.
I only have 8 other people to buy actual gifts for. Two will get bath stuff, two are kids so will get a toy. Ooohh, just remembered, I have a leftover toy from someone's birthday last year which I didn't end up giving so will give that to one of the kids!! That's 7 people to buy for then. The other 4 are my parents and my sis and hubby to be (will be hubby by Christmas day). We always write a list each and everyone picks something off it to buy so no worrying about what to get. I have two teenagers who I just give a tenner to each and an Aunt whose present I bought when in the States in July and that's it!!
I'm feeling nicely in control at the momentI'm glad I typed that all out now
I have to find £60 to cover the ccNot all of that was from the hen weekend, approximately half was my monthly Amazon order, mainly cat food. I will have it on payday so not worried. Although, I will have to find a further £20 come mid December as I borrowed out of a pot that I need the money for then.
Good news though, I am at £39.90 on OnePoll. Just waiting for that 10p survey! Been screened out of the last 5 surveys I have tried.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I have £17.15 to go into my sealed pot. That is the most I have ever potted in one go. A real boost to my total this year. I don't expect the total to be over £50, if that, but I will be happy with anything as it's odd change that I haven't noticed not having over the year.
Still at £39.90 on OnePoll. Not a single survey today, not even a screen out. Funny that...
Friend paid for lunch today. I told her that I can't afford to have bought lunches for the next couple of months. I have a wedding, 3 Christmas nights out and another hen night between now and the end of January, not to mention Christmas it's self. She was in complete agreement as she has something she is saving for herself. I told her we could both have homemade sandwiches and sit in her car to chat. I just have to get on the ball for making sandwiches for Fridays now!

Ha ha Lou! It did end up being slightly busier than planned. I wanted to catch up with washing and a bit of cleaning on Sunday but my sis called and asked if we could go to the local garden centre as they usually have proper christmassy feel around the run up to christmas. She LOVES Christmas so I couldn't say no
as she was really excited! We went along but it wasn't as good as normal so we left and went to The Range instead (they opened a new one near us a few months back) and that was far better. She was in her element!! We had such a lovely day. Creating memories like that is far more precious than washing the towels and vacuuming the floor.
I started bagging up the coins in my sealed pot ready for declaration next week. I think once everything is counted and the last few are added I will be over the expected £50. Not hugely, but a bitI am doing it now as it's my sis's wedding a week on Saturday and I have 'stuff' to do during that week so counting now means one less job to do then.
Off to make a cuppa and then finish catching up on the rest of the diariesMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Had a wee day off yesterday. LMG got her braces off her teeth. She now has lovely, straight, beautiful teeth. I'm so jealous!
I have a gap (coincidence) in my two front teeth and I hate it
She has been so good over the past 18 months with retainers, trips to the Ortho and train tracks, I am so proud of her. She still has a bit to go as still has to wear clear retainers and a fixed one at the back of her teeth but the worst is over. Lucky girl.
I am going to drop some food off to the foodbank this afternoon. It has been in a bag in my house for about 3 weeks now as I keep forgetting to take it. I think one thing might be at it's best before date. I will just have to keep it. I am fine with best before dates but I don't think the foodbank accept food at or past them. So I'm told anyway.
Have to get a couple of grocery things this afternoon. Got a little list. Will pick up LMG from school and take her with me as there are a couple of things she wants too.
Got a few potter-y things to do in the house, including a huge pile of (clean) underwear that needs sorting out with socks that need pairing and holes that need mending.
STILL at £39.90 on OnePoll. There has been NOTHING since I got to there!!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Can I come round? I love pairing socks. Please do. They are still there
I wrote all my Christmas cards last night. I am NEVER this organised so something else must be due to go wrongNope, I am just having a good year this year! Will keep telling myself that anyway... Oh, of course, it's the socks. The Christmas cards are written but the socks are still in a pile on the couch
:o Procrastinating much, gap?
Bought some Christmas stamps. A 2nd class stamp is 53p. 53P I TELL YOU!!! *fainted at post office*
Bought the Christmas money cards so just have to fill them and that will be two more off the list.
Attending a 40th birthday party tomorrow evening. It's one of my girlies' sister's 40th so chipped in for a present with the other 2, £10 each and I bought the card since they cover me when I'm short. I'm only staying a couple of hours as my own sis is out with her girlies and my parents are away for the weekend so LMG will be home alone. I will be home for 8pm so I'm not completely abandoning her :)
Getting my hair done on Saturday. This is the last hairdo of the year now so need to make the most of it. I am booked in already for 3rd January though

The price of stamps is appalling. I did those Royal Mail postal surveys this year so am well stocked for first class ones. I have at least ten to send abroad though so they're waiting for payday0

Great idea mooo! I am now only sending the ones I absolutely have to. I used to use Scout post but that became a bit unreliable. I think RM should do some kind of Christmas discount. Good Will and all thatMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
