Have a good weekend GAP, your teas are sounding delicious!! xxMummytogirls x0

Thank you both.
It felt like quite a long weekend, think it was the travel yesterday. I spent £17 (of my own money - parents gave us money to pay us into the comp). That wasn't bad at all. We took some lunch stuff with us and we popped into TGI Fridays for tea. We just had a snacky tea as we had been snacking on the lunch stuff all day and weren't really properly hungry
LMG did two dances and came 2nd in the first one (fair) and 3rd in the second one (good, as we thought she would get 4th). I'm always a proud mamma
Quiet week this week. Meeting the friend for lunch on Thursday. My turn to pay. I am starting some voluntary work soon and we have 6 weeks of training first. That starts on Friday, 2 hours in the morning. I had to take a half day annual leave but they have promised me that they will make all the other sessions at times suitable for everyone. I was a bit late to the party so I can't really complain about this one. Looking forward to it though.
Grocery shop came to £43 odds. I had money left over from last week so it was covered. I forgot the blinkin' deodorant the other day though so I bought that this morning. There is still about £3 left in the budget but we shouldn't need anything else this week.
Teas this week:
- Chicken fajitas
- Chicken pesto pasta (as I typed this I remembered I forgot the pesto)
- Sausage, mash and asparagus
- Lamb casserole
- Tomato, mozzarella and basil pasta
These can be done in any order so whatever we want on whatever night is fine. Lamb casserole will probably be Wednesday though as it takes a bit longer and that's the day I finish early.
Just checked my shopping list, pesto is definitely on it. I must have missed it when I did my final check over

Hey
I just wanted to pop in and say hi, I've been lurking on your thread and several others for a while (reading through it all before I got an account, and finally bit the bullet last week and signed up).
I think you're doing amazingly, and you're so organised that it's really giving me something to aim for in terms of being in control of my finances, so thanks!
Hope you don't mind me de-lurking!

Hi PP! :hello: Of course I don't mind you de-lurking!! Pop in anytime. I am far more organised now than I used to be but there is always room for improvement
(LMG said that to me the other day after I had said I do my best  I suppose that is slightly out of context but that is what she meant
). This forum is such a great place to be, a wealth of information. I have learned all my best moves here haha!

Morning GAP,
Well done to LMG on her competitions at the weekend :T.
This weeks teas are sounding nice again xxMummytogirls x0 -
Thanks mummy
Not a lot to report today.
LMG asked me to pay some cash into the bank for her (left over birthday money) and a cheque (for £20, birthday gift from a relative). I told her the cheque would take a couple of days to clear so she ran off and got a further £20 to put in to cover until it clears!!! Don't know where that girl gets all her money from but it was quite funny!
I have started noting down Christmas present ideas. My sis and I have changed our date for getting money out of the joint account to start of November instead of start of December. I don't have many to buy for so I don't really panic but I would like to get the ball rolling. Keeps me on track(and my OCD in line

Hopefully, INOD. She is more sensible with her money than I ever was but she has more of it than I did and I (together with modern technology) have given her the opportunity to manage a little of her own money. She knows what she likes and she has learned by buying tat in the past and realising it was just that, tat, so she saves and buys things that cost a bit more but will last for soooo much longer. She is far more clued up than I could ever have hoped to have been.
I have broken the news to LMG that I can't afford to pay for us to get our nails done for the wedding. We are both perfectly capable of painting our own nails and I have spent so much on the hen and on the actual wedding day stuff (shoes, overnight stay, etc), plus bestie's hen (next weekend) that I just can't do it. She really needs a pair of winter boots so I explained that it was boots or nails and I am not prepared to pay for nails when she needs boots. She was in complete agreement and has decided she will either pay for the nails herself (with her £millions :rotfl:) or will paint them herself (the more likely option - she is a bit of a tightwad with some things. She could well prove me wrong though
).
Up to £34.60 on OnePoll. It feels like it has been a long time coming round to payout this time. Doesn't help that I can't do ones that require flash player.

Morning GAP,
Had to laugh at DD giving you the extra £20 to cover the cheque clearing! Im glad she's sensible with her money.
Wow you're doing so well with one poll, I haven't kept up since I got my last payout, I should have really! I might start again now you've spurred me on!!! xxMummytogirls x0
