What is 'tablet'? My mouth is watering, but my brain doesn't know why...lol x

Tablet is a Scottish sweet. It's similar to fudge in colour, but rather than being soft it's hard. It is delicious but horribly bad for you.

It's hard to the bite but it melts in the mouth. I use MemoryGirl's recipe: TABLET I will not be making a habit of making it as it is not at all good for you but it will be fine for the wedding favours and it's nice as a treat at Christmas and the like.

Had a lovely spendy weekend :D:o Everything is covered with money (not credit). My friend paid for lunch on Friday so that was good. It means I am on lunch this week but that is no problem. LMG met me for lunch today and we had the same as what I had on Friday. It came to £7.40 for two toasties, two lots of chips and two drinks. It will be that on Thursday again when I meet my friend again this week so all budgetted for.

LMG wanted a perfume from the perfume shop. She has been saving for ages and had £42 saved. The perfume was £44 odds. I got some money from CSA at the end of last week so I told her if she paid £30, I would pay the balance. She wasn't expecting it at all and it was lovely for me to be able to treat her. I know that material things are not the most important but it is lovely to not have to watch every penny I spend so that she can get treats like that. I'm lucky that I don't have to pay out for child care during the holidays and she is not demanding in the slightest so it's nice to treat her.

I have updated my signature to account for payday. All pots are looking healthy. There is zero in my clothes account right now (needed it to cover cc from holiday) but £20 is due in on 1st and also I had some birthday money from a couple of weeks ago so I bought a couple of pairs of jeans with that.

Spinach and goat's cheese toasted wraps for tea :)

She is really good at saving. I suppose it helps that she rarely goes out. Although, I wish she would go out a bit more. I worry that she's lonely sometimes.

I love toasties too. It is a really good price for what you get. I don't have a huge appetite though and I always have far too many chips that I can't finish :o

Today the £3.90 cashback from the bank hit my account, I got 18p interest from another account and 3p interest from closing another so £4.11 (plus the £12.04 that was in the closed acc) across to the house deposit account. £5 account reward due in on Monday so that will take me over £210. Also, I have put aside £7 to be able to round the mortgage balance down once the interest payment comes off so I will have about another 40p to put in once that is done.

Up to £36.05 on onepoll and I am getting surveys fairly regularly so another week or so and that should be at payout.

Still waiting for cheque from ACO but I know that can take 6-8 weeks.

Still waiting for quidco to receive my cashback. They have received part of some that I previously put a claim in about but I have had to get them to reopen the claim as it has arrived short. I probably won't get it, I am really unlucky with quidco.

Meal planning and shopping list to begin now for tomorrow :(

The sun is in and out today. Wish it would just make up its mind and stay out :)

Obviously. I am only having to make yet another practice batch for the wedding favours just to make sure I get it right. If you do have a go, follow the instructions to the letter.

Not much happening money-wise. All pots are balanced. Funds ready for dd's to come off the accounts tomorrow. All apart from that really annoying one which comes off on 7th of the month. I have cancelled that as of next month.

Meeting friend for lunch today and I have the money ready to pay.

Meeting my sis tonight for cheese and wine. Was a groupon deal that she bought me for my birthday. I am really looking forward to it. I don't think we will spend any extra as we plan to head home afterwards. I have a day ticket for the bus.

That's it I think. Feels like Friday today :(

Oh well, at least it's Friday tomorrow :D

OMAG. I am ill. The cheese and wine was lovely. I was enjoying myself so much that I didn't want to go home. I rarely go out and I rarely drink and I think I just got a bit carried away in the moment. I managed to spend £17.20. My sis spent about £20-£30. I'm not sure exactly how much. I'm not sure exactly how much we drank. It has served to remind me why I don't usually drink. We both had such a great night though. Just a pity it was a school night for us. Today = Longest. Day. Ever.

All my pocket money is gone, spent it last night. All the grocery money is gone - didn't spend it last night, before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusion, just overspent on the groceries. I will have to do a shuffle of the money pots if we need anything before next week.

Most dd's off today. Just ScottishPower to come off. The interest balance on the mortgage was £6.77 so paid that and paid 23p to house deposit.

I can't type anymore. I need my bed

I think it is an age thing as even on Saturday I still didn't feel 100%. Still felt tired (or maybe just lazy) yesterday. Today is better. I am annoyed with myself though as I know that is what it does to me, that is why I rarely drink and when I do, it is minimal. Ok, I'm leaving it there.

Spent a fair bit over the weekend. Booked a room in the hotel for the night of my sis's wedding in November. I know it is a while away but I wanted to make sure I had one before she sends invites out. £60 B&B twin room. Spent £72 on a pair of shoes each for LMG and myself for our bridesmaid's outfits. My sis was going to pay but I insisted as she is paying for everything else (well, the parents are paying for most of it but she is paying for some) so I knew it would help if I got the shoes. They are lovely and perfect :) I have used some money from one of the pots that had quite a lot in it. I feel a little guilty but the only person I am stealing from is myself and also, I had overpaid into the pot anyway so as long as I don't spend any more from it, it will be fine.

MOT being done on Saturday. Hopefully it won't need much. Usually a couple of tyres. There is still enough in the pot to cover

Up to £39.50 on OnePoll. There is a survey on the list for 15p but every time I click on it it says the survey is full and they have the maximum amount of responses. Why don't they just take it off my list then? Also, there is one for 30p which they say I have already done (I think I did, to be fair) so why don't they just take that off? I wish there was a way of removing surveys you don't want on your list, like a tick box or something.

£5 account reward was paid in today. Paid that across to the house savings. That's up to £215.03 now.

ScottishPower dd is off now. I sent my meter reading on Friday and my balance is now £102.94 in credit. I will have to keep an eye on this one as my online statement says I am only about £44 in credit. The paper statements they are generating are correct so far though so I will just print the next one off when it is generated in a couple of days, just to be sure I have it in black and white.
