Went to the card shop yesterday :A I also picked up cards for mum and dad's birthdays (within 3 days of each other ) and their anniversary (14 days before the first birthday).

Have decided to get them tickets to a show that we know they will like. We usually spend about £40 each on them for their birthdays (£20 each from my sis and £20 each from me). The most expensive tickets are £40 each so that is perfect. We will not necessarily buy the most expensive tickets but at least we know we have them covered.

Meal plan and shopping list complete :D Off I go...

Well I've been a bit more spendy than I intended to be in the last 24 hours. LMG's step-mum (not with dad anymore) text and asked if LMG would like to meet them at the zoo today. She hasn't seen her wee bro and sis for about 4 months so she was well up for it. Of course, I had to give her money to get in (that zoo is blimmin' expensive!!) and money for lunch, etc. I have nothing in for her lunches as she is going to her granny's every day. Step-mum said she had extra anyway and I told LMG to go to the cafe and get a sandwich and drink. I wish I had known sooner as I could have bought packed lunch stuff yesterday. Anyway I had some CSA money left and I know she will have a great time so all is good.

Paid sis £42 towards tickets for parents' birthdays. I bought their cards on Tuesday so all sorted for that. We will get them a bottle of wine for their anniversary and they will be happy with all of that. All within budget.

I am up to £33 on Onepoll. Waiting for £3.90 cashback from the bank, due at the end of this month. Waiting for about £7 in a cheque from ACO. Waiting for about £5 cashback from Quidco but that could take long enough. I am really unlucky with cashback sites for some reason. They are a bit of a waste of time for me. Waiting for a Baby Oleg for getting pet insurance. I don't normally get pet insurance as I have an account with money in it for the cats but I had this wee niggling feeling before we went on holiday so got it just in case. Anyway, giving the baby to LMG but she doesn't know yet and I know she will be chuffed!

I made tablet yesterday as I am doing the favours for sis's wedding. It was a practice run. I almost made myself sick from licking the pot :o Anyway I brought some to work this morning and I am definitely happy with it. I have to let sis test it (she is so fussy about stuff) and if she likes it we will go with it. I have to do another test batch as yesterday's batch didn't break evenly but that's fine. I need to find some testers to eat it as my teeth will be black by November if I eat it all myself!

She did! She wasn't particularly impressed. She said it was nice to see them but she couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Typical LMG. They also went to watch the penguin parade. There were 3 penguins in it...

I am actually really pleased with it. I started out with a large tub for my sis to take away. I now have a small tub for her :o

Payday today but it won't hit the bank account until this afternoon. My colleage, who has to approve the payment via internet banking, had to go out this morning. She is not long back so will do it shortly. So annoying as I want to get my spreadsheet updated!

Meeting my friend for lunch today. Toastie, chips and a juice. Usually comes to about £4.

Getting my hair done tomorrow. Budgetted.

My sis is coming for lunch tomorrow as parents are away for the weekend to some dancing thing in Bournemouth (I think :o). I have everything in that we need apart from rolls. I will pick them up tomorrow morning. I am not a fussy eater at all but I do like my rolls fresh.

Beautiful sunshine here. I have my sandals on ;)

Tablet is a Scottish sweet. It's similar to fudge in colour, but rather than being soft it's hard. It is delicious but horribly bad for you.
