All fine at the dreaded D place. Unfortunately the hygenist was unwell so I couldn't have that appointment. I have had to make another one for when I come back my holibobs :(

Came in under budget for the groceries. £11.38 under budget to be precise :) I didn't buy as much though due to what I already have in.

Put £10 petrol in the car. Hopefully that will last until payday on Wednesday next week. I will stretch it out as long as possible.

Ordered currency to collect on Saturday. I got a really good exchange rate for it but after I had confirmed it I was told that that exchange rate was only for today and whatever the rate is on Saturday is what I will get. Bit annoyed about that but hey, it might go in my favour. *fingers crossed*

    Scorchio again today :D

Well, had a really busy weekend but it didn't go too fast so all good and happy here :)

Friday night was good. My sis and I shared a bottle of prosecco and a cheese board (which could have done with having more crisps and less olives on it) and then went to a clairvoyant evening at another local hotel. It was a fun night (even although I am not a believer) and I am chuffed and delighted that the only money I spent during the evening (tickets for prosecco and medium were pre-booked) was my bus fare home!!

The exchange rate moved very slightly in my favour (from 1.667 to 1.671) so I paid about £1.75 less than what I expected to for my currency. I'm not normally that lucky so it is a wee bit worrying... Nope! I am thinking positive all the way :D

Been a bit spendy over the weekend :o but all covered so the cc can be paid when the bill comes in. Thought I had miscalculated by £300 (short) and had a total panic until I realised that I had already transferred it over  D'oh!

Picked up a few bits ready for Friday. Just waiting for a delivery of a bag for LMG. There were none left in the store and when the assistant checked, there were none in any store nearby  Dundee are going to order it in and have it transferred to Edinburgh so we can pick it up on Thursday. Whew! Cutting it fine but I didn't realise she wanted it until Saturday night (long story) and we couldn't get it yesterday.

Put some small change in to my sealed pot. I keep putting in bits and bobs and forgetting to mention it on here. Hopefully I will have more than £20 in there by December.

Checked the BA website this morning. 2 days and a couple of hours until we can check in online :D:D Written a list and even remembered to order a repeat of my medication which I am to pick up on Wednesday. I have my notebook on the desk beside me now. I'm not even trying to hide it from my boss anymore. He won't mind anyway.

It has clouded over a bit here but it's not cold.

I have that excited but nervous feeling. I am not a -throw things in the suitcase at the last minute- kind of person but I am not an -organised a month in advance- kind of person either. I am doing a wee bit each night and it will all come together by Thursday night.

Paid off latest cc bill which had park tickets on it. Must have been something to do with the exchange rate (bought them from the American sites) but I now have £1.25 credit on my card.

I have no money in my purse. I have changed all cash into dollars and I have about £4 in the bank. There is nothing we need at the moment and I will get grocery money tomorrow, although I don't need to get a week's worth of groceries, just some plasters and ibuprofen.

Finishing early on Thursday (instead of Wednesday) to take the cats to the cattery so will pick up bits then.

Mum and dad's for tea tonight. Chicken curry I think.

    That's it today really.

It was chicken curry last night and it was blimmin' delicious!

    Payday :j

Done lots of transfers to make all the pots add up again. I borrowed from a pot to make up the currency purchase. Everything is straight again. I feel a bit wobbly about not checking my accounts for 2 weeks as I usually check them every day. However, I have all the correct funds in all the correct accounts for dd's coming off so all will be well, I know it will.

Paid across £55 to the house deposit and got 21p interest for June. It means the pot is not an even number but I am going with that for now.

Grocery money in so will use that for last minute bits and bobs tomorrow. Going to make up a small list. Don't know how small it will be by the time I am finished though as I keep remembering stuff :o

    Nearly there :)

Well, this is it. Got a hundred and one things to remember but nothing really worth boring you with on here.

We are going to take a packed lunch for on the plane. I always forget to do this but I have actually planned really well this time. I know we can't take drinks from home so I have allowed money for drinks in the budget. Also it feels more holiday-like if I get a cuppa and LMG gets a juice on the plane.

I can't believe that in 24 hours time we will be up, up and away! The first "up" will be the worst part as we have to be at the airport for 5.05am

This has seriously been the fastest week in a very long time. The next two weeks will go fast too, my holidays always do. They are like lunch hours and mornings before work.

Got a text this morning from CSA to say that I will get a payment next week. That is good as if I have an overlap in funds (I do expect a small one) then I can put it towards that. I don't feel guilty about that at all as I have paid for this holiday for both of us completely from my own salary so no harm if her dad puts a little towards her food.

I am back to work on 14th July so I don't expect to post again before that. See you all then!

    gap :)
