If you are still stuck, the computer section of MSE is very helpful. Hope you sort it. (I hate Windows 8!)
Thanks. Me too peeved off with it now...We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits.0 -

My mother was born in a pub, my parents used to like "a drink". My mother was quite a heavy drinker, on Christmas my dad and her used to be drunk by 10 in the morning. She would always tell her friends she was proud of the fact that she could get drunk then cook Christmas dinner. She didn't - I did from when I was about 10, it was the only way it was going to get done. But when she was diagnosed with cancer my mum started drinking very heavily, so heavily that it probably contributed to the fact her body could not fight the pneumonia that finally took her.
As a result I barely drink, I have a couple of glasses of wine with Sunday lunch and that is it. Neither do I smoke (she was a chain smoker until a week before she died).
Look after yourself and your body has more chance of looking after you.
I've got tears streaming down my face here as I read this, so close to home. It made me think back to my fathers death in 1990. He had been in the trade off and on most of his life and liked a drink, though only ever saw him tipsy at Christmas or 'well soused' at weddings.
He died of pancreatic cancer and I wonder if his intake had bearings on his passing.
I drink on holiday, not overly so, Christmas and now and again at home. Too much misery is caused and makes me stop and see how easy it is to go down that road.Claire1972 wrote: »Hello to everyone
Managed to get some mullers today all compared well.
Really hope somebody can help me with this one, bought a new acer laptop just before Christmas with Windows 8 on it.
Working no problem yesterday today logged in and got this message DPC watchdog violation, then before I can do anything it displays this message and restarts!!!
Any ideas anyone, any help would be appreciated.
