Hi everyone Ive done something weird to my hand.

Going into Superdrug the door is a pull out one rather than a push door and for some reason I got it the wrong way around and I seemed to have pushed backwards on my hand and the tendon that goes from the index finger back along the hand towards the wrist was twisted or strained or something.

Its like an electric shock having through my hand if I try to open a door or open my hand wide or make a fist or do a pinch movement between the index and thumb. But using the index finger to click on the mouse or on the keyboard is tolerable.

Has anyone else had this?

OH has put some ibufren gel on my hand so I cant take a pain killer but anyway the pain is the way my hand is telling me its a movement I should not be doing.

Not sure wether I should put ice on it or a hot wheat bag.

I've had the electric shock pain as you've described, but mine was a cut nerve :eek: probably not much use to you

When we got back to our street there were two ambulances and a police van, with lots of people standing around. When we left the police were knocking on a door, so I hope there was nothing sinister

I'm enjoying a last hour or so of peace before my two DS's come back from a weekend at their Dad's, early night for them though as back to school tomorrow.
