Does anyone on here know where to get a freezer, preferably not second hand, cheap? I was trying to get a shop soiled & damaged on on Ebay but it went above what I wanted to pay for it.

Basically my current one is nearly 20 years old. It is not really failing yet but it is pretty old for a freezer. It is 9.1 cubic feet so I would need at least 225 litres, and I would prefer an upright. I really do not care what it looks like, it is shut away in the study so shop soiled or damaged is not a problem, but I would like a year's warranty at least with it.

I have been trying to find auction sites that do this sort of thing without success, so I thought it would ask the collective wisdom of the Elite :D
I got a good deal from boots electricals for a Beko frost free freezer- through qQuidco for cashback and a naked wines voucher. that was 3 months ago and when I submitted my electricity readings this quarter they questioned why the usage was reduced so much. Only difference was the freezer.

I've got tears streaming down my face here as I read this, so close to home. It made me think back to my fathers death in 1990. He had been in the trade off and on most of his life and liked a drink, though only ever saw him tipsy at Christmas or 'well soused' at weddings.
He died of pancreatic cancer and I wonder if his intake had bearings on his passing.
I drink on holiday, not overly so, Christmas and now and again at home. Too much misery is caused and makes me stop and see how easy it is to go down that road.

AFAIK high alcohol intake increases the risk of pancreatitis, not of pancreatic cancer.

I didn't know that, it was something I read somewhere ages ago now and still held that thought
