Santander Debit Card

Which is why I am happy on it, as it is far better than any of their current offerings.
That's a bit of a sweeping statement. Without specifying what your requirements are, it is quite meaningless.
For example, if you would like to get interest on your balance, and cashback on Direct Debits, and/or a contactless card, the Zero account is clearly not better than any of their current offerings.
If you are talking about using your debit card abroad, then yes, the Zero account is clearly better than any of their current offerings.
I therefore have both, a Zero with a normal debit card, and a 123 with a contactless card.0 -

Sweeping or not, I do no feel of Santander's other products come close to the Zero Account. The 123 Account does not generate high enough cash back for me to warrant it being a good product. I would rather use the Halifax Reward account , it doesn't cost £2 a month and its a guaranteed £5 for doing nothing and I get 5% on a flex direct account for interest.
Like I said in my original post, I only use my Santander account for the 0% commission.0 -

You have to keep a certain level of saving or have a mortgage to maintain qualification (in theory :-)). Kind of surprised they have not withdrawn the Zero account completely and downgraded them to Everyday accounts.MFiT-T3 #149: {Q4/14} (£46,447)-->(£0) ~ +£46,447=100%

Mine would be closed before the ink was dry on the warning letter if they did that. I suspect everyone else would be the same.
Considering the hefty investment you have to have to get it in the first place I don't think they would want a mass exodus of their investments.0 -
I'm not sure they care about deposits held outside of their 123 product.MFiT-T3 #149: {Q4/14} (£46,447)-->(£0) ~ +£46,447=100%
