Hiya, didn't take the overdraft, but was available if I wanted it. He said card ordered fine, it was the credit card that was a problem. In this case computer said 'customer may be preferred for credit card' so he took me through application, to be declined

They were meant to of got rid of the "preferred" system as so many people were getting preferred and then declining. Doesn't help someone credit rating and is an annoyance when they hype it up only to say no. Before I left they had to so a customer was "guaranteed" or nothing but I'm guessing they must of brought back the old system :(

I don't suppose you have a picture of the 475714 Embossed Debit card ? I wonder why they haven't heard of it. I just called them and they've not heard of it either.

Is it the same design as the other one ?

Thanks. It looks like they've basically punched the unembossed card. They've even left the black numbering on it. The Offline card has silver numbers.

So back to square one with the numbers wearing off !

Why they can't just have normal cards like every other bank is a mystery.

And still no contactless , even though they have it on their fancy gold debit card.

  • Does it say electronic use only on the back?

a week or so later, a card arrives, fully embossed and raised numbering. Nothing on the back about electronic use either.

No, nothing on there about that. Valid from/to dates are longer as we'll rather than 9 months or so with electron!

How do you get the Gold debit card? I've never seen it before.

Oh edit: Looks like something to with their select service.
