We haven't bothered with a nursing chair and stool, but that's because I've got a really comfy, big, armchair in the living room that I intend to use in combination with a feeding pillow. And to save money.
My sister has one though, and so do a fair few of my friends, so I think it comes down to preference in the end.
Which cot bed did you buy euro?
We too have a really comfy armchair downstairs. I also have a futon currently in the nursery which is comfy but I would want a footstool to go with it.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

And this is the cheapest place I could find it as well(at the moment at least).

Skint - thanks for letting us know, heartbreaking news.
I'm shattered. Sat night I barely slept as every position was painful and I needed a wee every hour. My parents lent me a mattress topper which eased my painful hips last night but I still needed to wee every hour. So I'm a bit of a grump today, and once again I have very little work to do in work so looks like it will be a long boring day for me.
On a positive note, my parents gave us some money to buy a cot bed yesterday, so I am looking online for one. There will be a bit of money left over so wondering whether it would be worthwhile getting a nursing chair and stool too? Any one got one?
I bought this nursing chair and it's perfect, so comfortable

Thanks both! They both look lovely, it's so hard to pick one!
Skint - how roomy is that chair? I'm a size 20 normally and worry I wouldn't fit comfortably. It's one of the ones I've looked at online.

Flutter - I didn't have a nursing chair, I just sat up in bed with pillows or on the couch with pillows. My hips are hurting too. I wake up with them aching, turn over, do that about 2-3 times on each side then give up and lie on my back until I can't breathe then pick the best hip to go back to. I have a little cushion under my bump which really helps though. Also pillow between the legs helped me last time for some reason!0

Yes, that one looks lovely as well skint. There are so many lovely ones to choose from. Like pram shopping, it can be a bit overwhelming with all the choice.
DH's Dad and Stepmum had originally picked it out, and gave us the money for it, but we both really liked it too. We like the fact that it has storage underneath, seems sturdy and will convert to a toddler bed.
The one that skint has chosen has all of those features as well, so a lot of it then comes down to personal taste I guess.
Asda seem to have a baby event on at the moment. There's where I ordered the sheets from (and a super cute little hooded towel!).
Have been considering some wall stickers too, but not sure if I should go for something girly or not. I'm thinking it might be best to keep it more neutral as the next one may be a boy, and they'd likely be sharing a room until we can afford to move to a bigger place.
Oh, Skint - I have a booklet from Boots at home that recommended 90 size 1 nappies for the first week. Hope that helps.

Sweet, I am so sorry to hear your news. Please take care of yourself, thinking of you are your family.
Lulu, congratulations. Beautiful names and great weights for your girls.
AFM, 32+4 here. Managed to get a different delivery date for nursery furniture so it is now coming next Monday. We live in the Highlands but it is far from remote, I live 15 miles from a city! Mamas and Papas customer services phoned me after DH ranty email and will give us some compo after we receive delivery next week.
We started painting the nursery this weekend, just going for neutral colour as baby will eventually move from this room into bigger room when they get older.
My parents are coming up this weekend and it will be the last time I see them until after baby is here. I have a long list of things for my dad to do about the house. I am sure he will be delighted!0 -
Skint.. I just got 1 pack of size 1.. that is enough for a good few days.. you do not need 90 nappies in the first week!!! I used 8 nappies in the first 3 days.. they usually take a while to get going regularly... in those first few days you may find you need size 2 nappies.. my daughter was 7lb 2 and went straight into size 2 because she wee'd straight out of size 1 and they didn't cover her bottom well. Yet my 5 y/o wore tiny baby ones or 3 weeks and she was 6lb 14 .. you have no idea what build the baby will be so cant guess what size.
There is always a nappy offer on somewhere and there is always a shop open.. or you make do a couple of hours until one is!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
