Measurements can vary by several cm depending on who poke you!
That's true. I had a trainee midwife measure me at my 28 week appointment, and she was getting a measurement of something like 31/32cm. She asked the usual midwife to check and she got 27.5cm!
That midwife did then say to me that the measurements can vary depending on who do them, as they can all use slightly different start and end points (IYSWIM). She also had a feel of the baby and said that they can usually tell from that whether baby is too small, or bigger than expected (and little one at the time seemed fine to them).
Oh Pig. I do hope you get a better night's sleep tonight. Sleep deprivation is torture!!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Yep pigpen, as far as I am concerned that is measuring spot on too! If they measured me this afternoon I might be 35cm after eating an egg mayo sarnie, sausage roll and a cake for lunch! Woops.
Haha. I had a packet of crisps this morning. Some cashew nuts. Then had a tin of soup for lunch, some plain yoghurt and grapes. Another packet of crisps, and a doughnut!!! hahahahaFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I've measured smaller from about 36 weeks but everything was fine at the growth scan so I wouldn't worry.
I have been too hot today in the sun and no shorts that fit me at the moment. I went and bought a load of ice lollies haha, weather will be rainy and cold again now I've stocked up.
Not eaten as much today as I have been this week, breakfast was muesli, lunch - 3 slices of toast and packet of crisps, then 2 rich tea biscuits this afternoon, oh and a mini twister lolly0 -
I've got my 34 week midwife appointment tomorrow morning, at least it's a nice excuse to get to work a bit later. They don't bother to measure me anymore at the appointments because I have growth scans, next one is in two weeks where I'm going to find out an induction date with any luck, well I'm going to keep pressing them anyway.0

They can't book stuff on the systems here until 37 weeks.. just so you are warned.. they might not be able to do!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks pigpen, they booked it last time at 34 weeks, and said they're happy to consider acting from 38 weeks so I'll keep my fingers crossed that they'll commit themselves this time0

I'm a bit concerned about mine tbh.. they book my eviction for dead on 37 weeks.. but.. they moved my dates by nearly 2 weeks so I'd be just over 35 weeks.. it just makes me a bit anxious in case it is a bit too early.. I am not having it in SCBU..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

I would be worried about that as well, given how far forward they moved you. I'm lucky my dates were pretty reasonable0
