So after daily bp's for 5 days & 3 weeks of monitoring I've cracked & am going in for induction tomorrow! I could have gone back in this afternoon but thought it would be good to have a bit of time to sort a few bits round the house & spend some time with OH, going to go out for some dinner later & then wait for a call tomorrow when there is a bed available. Eek!!

My due date twin, exciting news. Hope all goes well tomorrow. Take plenty of stuff to keep you occupied as it took my sister 4 days to get the induction going, I have fingers and toes crossed it's quicker for you though and things goes smoothly! Not long now.
  • Oh goodness, fingers crossed milly! How are you doing? Still bouncing? Hope things get going soon for you too! x

    Yep, still bouncing :j

I hope so too. I'm Looking forward to seeing my MW tomorrow and getting my sweep. Even tho the idea of a sweep makes me cringe! I just want to get things moving.
  • I've had 3 & they really aren't that bad. Just felt like a smear really, felt a little bit crampy after & after the one the doctor did I bled a bit all day & had a show about 24 hours after but thats because i'd been fiddled with rather than anything starting, if you know what I mean! Just try to relax & think of the good it could be doing. They did say they wouldn't do anymore now as there is a risk of infection the more they do. Good luck for tomorrow! x

milly - all the best for your sweep

Princess Kate - all the best for your induction!

AFM, no Easter baby :( was really hoping I would be able to eat some chocolate this weekend but I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer ;). 39 weeks on Wednesday so I know it's still a bit early but just fed up now! My hips are worse (didn't believe that would be possible!), my ankles have disappeared and generally feeling more uncomfortable.
On the other hand, it has been lovely having OH around for a long weekend :D and some nice weather so he took some pics of me in the garden!

Nothing apt-wise until Friday when I have a review scan for my polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid). I'll also ask them to check BP and urine as I'm not seeing midwife until day after my due date! I didn't hear anything from my GTT so I assume that was normal :).

    apologies if (a) I have missed anyone and (b) I have repeated myself!!! (I blame baby-brain ;))

    [have we heard from bubblepops?]

  • Sorry you're struggling Aunty, the end bit really is the worst, my back has been horrendous the last few days, getting up of a seat involves practically uncurling myself to an upright position. It's not good! Def get them to check bp & urine, not worth the risk of missing any Pre-eclampsia. To be fair they've been very good keeping such an eye on me, just gets annoying doing the same thing everyday.

Oooh no, no news from bubblepops, hope that means she's having cuddles with her baby!

No news is good news as they say! Must be so exciting and lovely :) my friend who is carrying her rainbow twins has had her induction brought forward to this Saturday - I cannot wait to see her babies!!!

Sorry you're achy Aunty Pickle, but very lovely you've had some time with OH before baby arrives :D

I'm only 31+4 and am so achy now. My back, ribs, legs, pelvis and pubic bone all ache. Rolling over in bed hurts, but if I don't I get cramp starting in my bum cheeks all the way down! Lord knows how I will manage the next 8 weeks without committing a henious crime lol!

    Hello all.

Sorry I've been a bit absent - I couldn't remember my password and thanks to baby brain, I'd also been putting in a capital M. Grrr.

PrincessKate - best of luck for today, I hope once they start you off it's nice and quick.

36wks tomorrow. How did that happen?! Really must pack my hospital bag although I'm hoping to have a home water birth. Still doing finishing touches to their nursery. Still have to wash/refresh Moses basket but other than that - we're all ready. Midwife coming out tomorrow, last growth scan Thursday then on a mini holiday mon-fri next week then baby can come whenever it likes. I'm hoping for 1.5.15 as the DOB will be cool like mine and DS's .

Not sure who is in charge of the fb group but I pm'd someone my email address a month or so ago but haven't been added yet. X

    Hello everyone,
Good luck for those having sweeps/inductions today :)

Cant believe I'm 32 weeks now and only 4 weeks of work left :) Struggling with sleeping positions too Krustylouise, really difficult to find one comfortable and wake up more achy than went to bed!

Havent managed to sell our house as planned, so decided we will rent out our house and still move and rent ourselves. Put it up for rent last week, had several viewings and now had someone sign contact, deposit paid and wants to move in in 3 weeks! So we have removal men coming in less than 2 weeks for our stuff and I don't even know where to start! At least should be moved in and sorted before bumps arrival :)

    Hello all,
    Just a quick update.

I've had my MW appointment but she said she couldn't do a sweep. Apparently MW aren't only allowed to do sweeps until your 1 week over, and if the consultant wanted one sooner, they need to do it.

A bit of a disappointment! But the rest of the appointment was same as all others. BP good, heartbeat good, urine test good etc. she said my bump is all baby and no fat, which is nice to know. Hopefully won't be too long before back in my old clothes.

So I probably won't see my midwife again before baby comes as I already have an appointment for Monday at hospital with consultant and she said they will sort out any final appointment/inductions etc.

So, it's just more waiting!!!!! While baby gets bigger, and bigger and bigger!?!.!.!.?

Hopefully, Princess Kate is having a more productive day!
