So I had my final scan today, hopefully, and baby is still on the large side. Current estimate is 8lbs 9oz and 2 weeks before due date. Apparently, they don't like to induce when baby is large, increases chances of complications and emergency c section.
So the plan is for a sweep first in 2 weeks with MW, if baby not come before, and Then another 1 week later by the doctor when we will also discuss my options for c section or inducement.
I'm hoping baby comes early as everyday that goes by baby is getting bigger and chances of emergency c section goes up.
Hope all is ok with everyone else. Looking forward to hearing from missy.0 -
Re positioning of baby, I have heard of babies turning during labour so don't let it get to you too much, negative type thoughs are bound to get us stressed, release cortisol, increase fear which makes labour harder and can sometimes slow it up.
With my first pregnancy, I had a stretch and sweep in hospital found it very painful (my waters had broken and I did not contract, found out I was strep b carrier which if baby caught could have become very unwell and sometimes causes death) I would never have agreed to intervention if the above hadn't been the case. My induction process was started on Thursday evening and I had my boy by emergency csection Saturday morning. I am hoping this labour takes a very different path.
Started my hypnobirthing cd today, got a special one for vaginal birth following Csection.
My back and hip pain/aching got pretty bad last week and i had pain in my knees and my right foot as well. So I have been trying to rest up over weekend and haven't been into work today. The foot pain does seem to be fading, worried I am becoming a cripple. Have about 7 weeks before due date. I texted my midwife today I ask for a physio referral but have not heard back from her.
Have started to wash baby clothes and its a lovely feeling getting things ready.
Hope all those with colds get rid of the ASAP.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150 -
Sorry you're still waiting for your baba bubblepops. Hopefully not much longer now and I suppose it gives you time to feel better.
Milly that is a good weight! DD was 8lbs 8oz. I was told by a growth scan she would be between 6-7lbs so take them with a pinch of salt if you can!
Has anyone else experienced restless legs/body at night? I fall asleep no problem then wake and literally cannot stop fidgeting every 30seconds or so! My poor hubby has work and I disturb him often! I read somewhere that eating bananas helped and have been doing that but nope! Also read it could be linked to iron levels but apparently mine are great so who knows?!PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

No help sorry krustylouise as when I've suffered it has always been linked to my iron levels. It's horrible tho, hope it doesn't last too long for you.0

I've had that too Krusty. The nights it's been better have been the nights where OH has been home and he's rubbed my legs and calf muscles for me while in bed. Baths seem to help too but I don't know if that's because I'm more sleepy after a bath. Midwife also said to avoid caffeine in the few hours before bed. Hope you get relief as it's a pain! Xx
35+4 for me. Going far too slow now, everything hurts and I'm fed up of being a whingebag. Never again! XStarted Comping Jan 2014

Krusty I've found drinking more water during the day and before bed has helped me with restless legs and I eat at least 1 banana a day to stop cramps after I woke up screaming in pain the other night with the most awful cramp in my calf! Oh had to pick me up out of bed so I could walk it off but it still hurt a few days later! XxxDebt free finally :j

The leg cramp is so painful, had it a couple of times in last few weeks.
Bubblepops - hope baby is here soon for you.
I have my anti d jab today so that will be fun... needs to rearrange my whooping cough one as well because i had to cancel last week as my dd got a sickness bug.
I am on a week off work and managed to sort out babies wardrobe which was full of junk. Definitely got far too many clothes with all the hand me downs from dd and new bits i have bought.0 -
Thank you all for your comments I really apprciate it. I have one cup of tea a day, which is first thing in the morning so its definitely not caffeine, I couldn't drink more water if I tried haha. I ate two bananas yesterday and drank Horlicks last night before bed. I'm my sure whether it was those things, or the fact I was absolutely shattered but I slept quite well, aside from toilet trips. So fingers crossed!
Good luck with your anti d today Wendz. I've got mine on Tuesday! xPAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

I'll second the more water, krusty. I also took to sleeping with my feet propped up a little bit, it helped a little.
Hugs phoenix, I think we all hit that state at some point.
Oh, how exciting wendz, they love to give us more misery, don't they? Hope you get on ok. Well done for sorting the wardrobe!
I have conjunctivitis in both eyes, a raging temperature, and a stinking cold that is threatening to turn into a chest infection, so I feel glorious, haha!
Lots of grumblings, tightenings and Braxton hicks going on, so I've been rolling on my ball- a lot. I managed to get really bad cramp in my heel last night and shot off the ball-I've never moved so fast in my life! :rotfl: think my oh thought baby was putting in an appearance! :rotfl:
We have plans to go out for tea tonight to cheer me up, so hopefully she'll decide to put in an appearance and scupper our plans!
Hugs to everyone, hope you all have a good day x'By all means let's be open minded, but not so open minded that our brains drop out.'0 -
Morning all,Sorry I have been a little absent lately. Not felt I had anything interesting to say. But I have been keeping an eye.
I am now 35 weeks and the uncomfortableness is beginning to come on well. Being referred to physio for pelvis pain. I am just seeing more appointments as bonus time off work now !
Diabetes is being well controlled by tablets now but the nurse would love to put me on insulin. So no more banana and chocolate crepes for me to keep the sugar levels down. She has given me till Friday and if there is another spike its insulin as well as the metformin tablets. I don't really mind if it is as its only for a few weeks.
I have had a few cramps and restless legs and heard bananas and milk do help so I hope you find a solution Krusty.
Had our maternity ward tour last night. Makes it less scary to have seen it before the big event. It was all very calm there. Rooms are all well equips with beds that can go in numerous positions and swings etc. also good to know they encourage skin on skin and delayed cord cutting.
So on to final countdown now. Yay!
Fingers crossed for those with imminent news.0
