  • Welcome x_missymoo_x it's daunting jumping up to this thread. It's also difficult not to buy stuff..... You are doing very well!

We were surprised too that a sweep was offered then too Timeflies. We don't have another appt until the 23rd, midwife thought baby was back to back before but I'd been working hard on my ball to try and move baby. Last time I went it was part successful so i'lll just habe to get back on it.
Haven't had a midwife appt since 37 weeks and none now until 39+6. Feeling a bit lost as it's my first and I don't know what to expect- thought I might squeeze one more appt in.

I'm hoping the same for either baby before this Sunday or after Boxng Day. So excited to find out if a boy or a girl.... I think we might just be there with a name!

Bet you are looking forward to your break Nicky Noo Na- not long to go now
  • Hello, I'm being brave and moving up to this thread, am 24 weeks today, due 8th April and we are team yellow. Had a midwife appointment today and everything is going well. Feeling much better now than I have, had a lot of sickness at the beginning, suffered with migraines and tiredness but generally feeling pretty good at the mo!

I'm a bit confused about weight gain, I think that maybe my scales are totally playing up, as according to them I'm still 2 pounds lighter than when I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks. I did lose about 8 pounds due to nausea and sickness at the beginning but thought I would have put on more by this point. I don't mind not even tho I look like I've put on a lot more going by the size of my bump!
  • Hello All,
I am Princess Kate's Due Date twin.

Im also due 8th April and team yellow! Though im defiantly heavier than before I was pregnant.

Ive had a pretty easy pregnancy so far. No sickness and problems. I have to see a consultant as I have an underactive thyroid and higher risk of pre-eclampsia. but generally I've been good.

Though I am in need of this Christmas holiday as I am very very tired at the moment. Last day today and then 19 days off!

    Midwife appointment on Monday.
  • It's officially Christmas for me now as school is out for the holidays :)

I'm now about to start 'operation wrapping'... now I've got it all out of the wardrobe I've realised just how much I've bought :o If you can't spoil people at Christmas when can you!?

    Happy Friday everyone
  • Enjoy your break missy. I'm avoiding operation wrapping, apart from the guitar I've bought for OH. Wandered the house to find somewhere to hide it, didn't think how big the box would be!

I'm not finishing for christmas until 8pm on christmas eve but I then have 5 days off, unheard of f you work in the NHS, I'm so excited!!

Awwww Freshstart11- being taken to hosp by ambulance sounds awful. Not long to wait for you now then- a boxing day baby :) hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Welcome also to Princess Kate & millysg1 - hope you are both looking forward to some rest over xmas.

4 days until due date for me and nothing to report- baby is very active and having far too much fun inside to pay me an early visit. My OH is finished with work now until after xmas and rolls straight in to paternity leave so I have him with me for a month so would be nice for him if baby put in an appearance sooner rather than later.
Did some nesting yesterday- defrosted freezer, cleaned nursery, finished wrapping plus other various bits n pieces.

Up early as my pregnancy snoring even wakes me up now so I've come for some quiet time on the sofa with a cuppa..... Letting OH sleep for a change as he is gonna need it- he struggles with little sleep-he is in for a shock.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend
  • Welcome to the newbies who have ventured over!

Wow freshstart- that all sounds a bit scary. Hope all goes well and that baby arrives safe and well!

Well after having a nice day off work on Wednesday I woke up on Thursday morning with pains down below - think baby was repositioning! It made me feel really nauseous and I only managed an hour and a half at work before I was sent home as I looked so unwell! Had a good sleep but couldn't eat much. Felt better yesterday and managed breakfast which helped but the nausea was still there all day - I managed all day in work and even went to our Xmas do meal for a bit, just like the first trimester eating seems to help! Felt a lot better in the evening but woken up today feeling sick again, hope it eases off before Xmas! We have so much to do today it's a bit frustrating but baby still moving away so as long as s/he is OK I'll just plod on! Just eaten 2 dry crackers in an attempt to feel better before I have to be up and about!
  • Well monitoring went well today, two more to go and then induction! Scary!

  • Scary fresh start but you are obviously being well checked and monitored. You take care of your self xx

I too was admitted to hospital by ambulance yesterday. Unfortunately I have developed severe mastitis. I have never felt so poorly. I am lucky my baby was admitted with me so I am doing some bf, pumping and introducing him to formula. I hate having to stop bf but having suffered mildly with my little girl I cannot risk it again this time especially when there is the concern of abscesses forming. I feel guilty but I know I shouldn't, sometimes breast isn't best.

Good luck those that are due soon. Hope the nausea clears up soon Nicky
