Congratulations Fiebird. Glad it was a generally positive experience for you. Shame about the retained placenta (nasty things, had that last time). Hopefully you are now settling in well at home.

Thanks 🙂 Yes, at nearly two weeks I am feeling fairly human again, though glad husband has another week off, as I have also had a nasty virus and really bad shoulder pain! Daughter is perfect though, and our older daughter is starting to get used to having baby around I think. First week on my own with two will be a shock though - definitely need my energy back by then!!

Our baby girl was born via emergency section yesterday at 4:52am. She started having major heart decelerations during labour so decision was made to get her out of there pronto.

She came out pink and crying and weighing 7lb and 9oz. We are both doing well and hoping to get home today!

Congrats Celepie, hope you have a quick recovery from your section.

Our girl arrived a little early on the 30th Jan at 39+2 but was a healthy 7lb. On paper I had a good delivery, in reality I don't remember much of the last 5 hours of labour as I was off my face on gas and air which also meant I didn't ask for anything stronger. I was an absolute diva by all accounts, refused to do most of what the midwife asked me to do - I basically wanted to sleep and that's all.
  • Congratulations everyone. Is that it? Are all the babies here now?
Hope everyone is ok. My baby boy was 2 months old yesterday. My confidence is growing and he seems a lot less fragile to me than the 4lb 15oz dot i gave birth to.

I think that's what I was last time :rotfl: They must be used to it...

    Hi All

Firstly, congratulations to all of those who have delivered over the past few weeks, reading the stories is amazing and I hope you are all doing well and your new bundles of joy are settling in well!

I am now 35+2 weeks. I still have a few weeks of work left to go, but am starting to feel very uncomfortable! xx
