Better processor, bigger hard drive, same RAM, better integrated graphics. Can't comment on the screen which will no doubt be inferior to the apple one.
So your comparing a Lenovo laptop to an Apple MacBook Pro, you seriously are having a laugh.
Lenovo aren't exactly known as the best laptop manufacturer are they, and even there website says its an entry level model!!!
Seems you have no idea about computers at all comparing a MacBook to a Lenovo is like saying a Ferrari is exactly the same as a Fiat.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

Oh well another brainwashed person. I'm comparing with the entry level MacBook.0 -
Guys, it looks like shortchanged is trolling for an argument and you are all taking the bait. Why don't we all cut it dead here and now and then wait for the next Mac vs PC thread to get created before starting again??Useful is beautiful0

Hate to tell you this I'm not brainwashed at all. I buy a product that is fit for the purpose I intend to use it for.. If that product turns out to be an Apple product so be it.
Who are you to tell me what I can and can't spend my money on, and what brands I can or cannot choose to own?
Seems your the one with the problem with what people spend there money on no us!!!!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

Does a Fiat have a Ferrari engine, Ferrari brakes, upholstery?? No.
Your analogy is therefore not very good. As someone mentioned earlier the analogy is more like the Skoda, Audi comparison. Generally the same components, maybe slight differences. However the main difference is the badge on the front and therefore the cost. Is that what is called brand snobbery?0 -

Absolutely !!!! display, however.
Screen size - 15.6in - 1366 x 768
That is absurd. The Mac screens certainly aren't the best available (a common complaint about the Airs, in particular, is that they don't have the top-grade LCDs) but the 11 inch air is 1366 x 768 and the 13" air is 1440 by 900. The 15" Macbook is now 2880x1800 resolution.
So the machine you claim to be equivalent has half the linear resolution. Half. Do you know anything about this stuff?Oh well another brainwashed person. I'm comparing with the entry level MacBook.
No you aren't. Screen resolution is one of the few things that even casual users will notice. 1366x768 is widely criticised as a bit cheap on 11" displays on the Air; it's utterly hopeless on a 15" display.
And edit to add: the Mac has an SSD. So not remotely comparable.0 -

You don't seem to realise that you're the one who has been Micro$hafted. But still, maybe if you believe all the MS BS, then you're right, for a low end user who doesn't need a stable OS, or well designed programs that make use of the equipment, then Apple systems are overpriced.
If you are a serious user, then you would weigh up what systems best fit your needs, and for that, there is not one global answer.
Unfortunately, some people have bought into the marketing idea that there is one answer - MS, and that anyone who thinks differently is wrong.
Then again, some people have never heard of FPT, the people who designed the engines in the Fiat 500, Alfa 4C, Maserati Quattroporte and the Ferrari California.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

I don't use MS, I use Linux. So how can I be Microshafted?0 -

So, if you don't use MS, then where does your personal opinion about the speed of Windows 8 come from?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
