  • I feel for you Luckyone. What a crazy thing, eh? I wish I hadn't posted on there now. :-/ I hope there's no hard feelings?
  • This thread has made me dizzy!

    It makes me incredibly sad that someone could be so callous in doing such a thing.

    I'll not comment again on the matter and I hope the poster in question hangs their head in shame.

    ETA: I'm not referring to the blogger! I'm referring to the later posts :>(

    :eek::eek::eek: It can't be?! :eek::eek::eek:

    People think they are invincible from behind a keyboard.

    Like most on here, I imagine, I have been a member of various forums over the past 20 years. On each and every one, at least one person has been reported deceased and turned out to be no such thing - and they were usually caught out in the same way toniq may have caught this person out.

    Another which was nearly as bad in its way was a woman who claimed to be a vet and gave out advice on animal care - unfortunately she was no such thing and her 'advice' in a couple of cases at least had awful consequences. I think MSE has tighter rules on things like that.

    Then there are always the folk who like to play good cop/bad cop with their seperate identities - unless the glorious day they forget to log out of one before posting as the other:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi- I am sure you can guess who I am :) First of all let me apologise for the language I used in the post (it wasn't meant in the sense it has been taken in). I appreciate there was no malice in you posting the link, and thank you for wanting to publicise it.

    My issue with it was that it (and other sites that did the same) encourages the 'bad compers' to come along in droves (more than if it hadn't been published). The compers who are not interested in reading blogs, the ones that follow then unfollow as soon as it is over. This was who it was aimed at. I guess I should use a filter before posting.

    I know I will have offended you all but this was not my intention at all. And to set the record straight (from other posters here) I am not a spoilt princess, quite the opposite, this is why I took it to heart as £25 is a lot of money for me to be throwing away on a fair weather follower. This was a giveaway from my own pocket & not a PR sample as others have suggested.

    I just wanted to get my point across a little better than I seemed to do in the original post. Which has now been taken down to avoid any more ill feelings.

    Thanks

    Those are the best ones... Not only the satisfaction of seeing someone caught out, but also knowing that they will be feeling like a right banana for such a schoolboy error :rotfl:
  • I think this is disgusting. If i was Looking to buy from a company and found this rant i would not buy from them. If you didn't want to do a competitions for everyone to get more followers to try and expand your business the women should have Done it vial a newsletter sent to customers they they can only enter if they have signed up to receive it. Shocking attitude to have towards a community who via competitions get their business name out there.
