MIKE, what a rotten time your having, lifes not always a bowl of cherries eh. Keep your chin up kid.
I,ve really anoyed myself this week, had to throw out a packet of mince and 3 chicken breasts as I was too lazy to open the freezer door and throw them in. I did mean to cook them, just forgot they were in the big fridge in the cupboard. Thats about £4.00 I,ve wasted. Was doing so welll on the waste front too. Havent spent anything else at all though, oh yes I did, 20p for a lovely brown loaf, a whoopsie of course, but that will do a few days yet:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
Well except mastered my mortgage 5 yrs early :T:j

Thanks everybody for your kind condolences. We will now have to put it behind us and get on with living.
On a brighter note, today I would normally do my online fortnightly shop with Mr T. However because we had to order much more than usual a fortnight ago to qualify for the £20 off we are well stocked and only need about 14 items, and then only 4 of them immediately :j.
I'll update my signature later as I'm debating whether or not to take the three days away out of my holiday budget.

Well, just back from Weymouth after three horrendous days. Buried our Sister-in Law (ovarian cancer) and put her Husband into a Community hospital (lung cancer). At the moment I don't know whether I'm coming or going, but I'm still keeping an eye on my spending.
Good luck to everybody. Sorry to be so gloomy,
sorry to hear your news Mike my thoughts are with you xxStill TryingGrocery challenge July 2016

I thought that I had enough in my cupboards to last me til end of the month without shopping, but I ran out of lettuce & cucumber AND my brother is coming down at the weekend so I said I'd cook him & his GF a roast so will need to get supplies.
I asked him for a couple of quid towards meat etc and cue an arguement! He didn't want to cough up a few measly quid until I reminded him that whenever I have cooked for him before I have bought all ingredients, cooked it all AND been left with dishes!
He said he'd pay for the chicken! Ha ha! Oh well.

mikeD So sorry to hear of your loss- thinking of you and the family. It can be a really expensive time as well with the travelling and loss of routine.
July grocery challenge- aim for month £360 -spent so far £173. Expensive week as had 20 lunch guests on Sunday as well as 6 of us. This week shoud be cheaper as will eat up all left overs and from freezer. Getting Mr T to delivery basics tomorrow (bread, milk, veg cereal etc.)
How do you do those signitures- is there a page with instructions that has passed me by?0
