I'm in. Don't feel I achieved as much as I could have done last week - story of my life! And as Dusty said, will probably spend much of next couple of weeks glued to TV for olympics and flood reports. My village isn't flooded, but neighbouring ones have had a few evacuations. I went out on Friday and took a few photos of a field I used to ride through; looks like a reservoir.
Oh well high hopes for lots of kicks up the **** this week. I've got a potential new student coming to see me tomorrow, and another potential assessment I'm negotiating. Plus the other half of my new office-organising tray filing system should arrive - although of the 1st delivery of 10 trays, 3 were broken so will have to go back which is a hassle.
Have a good week all.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Thanks Dusty :A - I'm in in theory but it's Parents' Evening tomorrow, I'm going to the cinema on Tuesday and to see Frank Turner on Thursday so not sure where the flying is fitting in!!
At least it's half term next week!
Hugs and prayers for anyone who wants or needs them.
Night all, sleep well xx

Thanks Dusty and Natty for respective lists.
Deco & Mumto5 That's funny - procrastination is my middle name as well!
Note To Self: Must remember to ring about official city centre appointment on Tuesday pm. The bridge into the city centre and its immediate roads have been closed since lunchtime today (floods!) and looks as if it will be so for the rest of the week. Buses are running but via different routes, and I'm wondering if my OCCA will be put on hold as the office is located not too far from the bus station which is closed.
Must also remember to print out different bus routes (as above) details for several friends who don't have the internet, but do rely on buses.

Morning all
Done the bit of ironing I had (with the Ladies Downhill)
Just descalling the iron now and then may need to dust the LR with a bit more WO. I can so see this week being a write off - Kitchen will be when there is a break in coverage along with the Mr L dash. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning flyladies
All ideas of flapping like a woman possessed today have been thrown into chaos; DD was supposed to go home yesterday afternoon but there was a palaver with a broken train track and she was scared thy she would end up stuck in Great Malvern by herself with no way of her Dad being able to collect her so she freaked and didn't get on the train.
Of course, said train made it all the way to hereford without incidentbut now I have to drop DS2 off at school, get the bus and the train into Birmingham and PUT HER DIRECTLY on the hereford train myself.
Oh well, worse things happen at sea!
Happy Monday, all.0 -
Morning all and Dusty thanks for this week's list. I'm in and will do what I can.
FizzWhizz the things we do for our children eh! At least she'll be more relaxed; I used to be a dreadful worrier in case things went awry and probably used to drive my parents mad
Joeyjimbles we had dry sky too but sure enough on the way back from school it started to rain and the grey sky is fast overtaking the blue now *sigh*.
Narc0lepsy do you have your own horse? I used to and still love to ride (money and bad back permitting) - now DD is riding and goes once a fortnight; love to see her progress. Hope you don't get affected with all the flooding.
Pigpen here's hoping one of your brood sees sense and helps you tidy up all the toys, especially with you being unwell.
Right, paid work beckons .....Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
the toys are picked up they just need sorting through box at a rime and getting rid of a large percentage of them! They can't play with most of them because they are inaccessible.
DD2 has lost her bedroom door.. lol... she isn't talking to me.. she betrayed my trust and didn't even appear remorseful.. that'll teach her.. problem is her room is squalid so I can see it all now.. so I am dragging all her stuff out and sorting it myself which means most gets binned.. she has after college today to sort it or I'm doing it tomorrow.
KH has asked if he can keep the girls overnight on the days after school he has them.. like I suggested 5 years ago! Then claimed it was his idea! Twerp!!! He said the 2 younger ones could walk with the 13 y/o to school.. erm, no they can't!!!! That would either make her late or them so early they would be stood alone in the playground in the cold for up to 20 minutes!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
