  • Oooh, I am all alone, such a rare thing. Finished work, finance spreadsheets up to date.

We have had a noise like water going through pipes in the bathroom, even when nothing is turned on. Hubby has been investigating this morning which involved taking everything out of the airing cupboard. The contents of the airing cupboard are now strewn all over the landing.

Hubby has concluded that our internal stop tap is not turning off properly but beyond that I dont know what we need to do. He has gone out now so do I return the stuff to the airing cupboard or make him do it?

The house is freezing and I am trying to keep the heating off for a bit. Might go and get the hoover going to get warmed up a bit.

    Hugs Mumof2.

Hoping that wind doesnt get quite as bad as they say, very scary, especially as we had storm damage to our house a couple of years ago.

LW Perhaps by looking for the one on top of the lily pad? The others that are hiding will wait for another time.

Think of Mr Jeremy Fisher but don't fish too much or you'll end up with a house like mine - I swear it was better before I started looking in cupboards for more paper stacks:rotfl:I wanted to get them all together for ease so now even more paper frogs!!
Trouble is, they're all fighting for the prime position on the lily pad!:D

I just Googled Mr Jeremy Fisher - good one!:rotfl: I never read Beatrix Potter, I'm afraid.:o

S0d it, I'm going to make cherry pie - I have some pie filling that's BBE Dec 2013, so its a sort-of frog, cos it needs using up.;)

Went and collected DS3 from school as weather was awful. Need to head off to cricket in 40 minutes, hoping the traffic/weather is ok especially as I've never been there before.

Think I'll just get the shower room cleaned before I go and I have seen on google maps that there is a Mr W at the bottom of the hill where I'm going so I'll pop down there and get a free cuppa once DS3 has settled - they could see a lot of DH and me over the comng months!

The cherry pie is made, and smells lovely. It'll also help make the clean-and-tidy-the-food-cupboard frog easier, when I finally get around to doing that one.:D

I've paid my credit card - it had taken a bit of a beating this month, as I paid the initial deposit for the car on it, so it's good to get that out of the way. Also updated Mr LW's spreadsheet for him, so our accounts are all up to date.

Mr LW has just called to say he's on his way home; so I'd better get organised for dins (saugage'n'chips tonight, and we can have fried tomato as well, methinks).

  • Hi all

Honeybear No I didn't think you were being rude. I was worried that you hadn't got my reply as when I pressed send I had to log back in again and didn't want you to think I was being rude :o

Flying has stalled this evening - the thunder & lighting woke me up at 4.30am and coupled with not being able to get to sleep until 3.30am the night before so I'm very tired.

Hugs, spoons & sticks for all

    Hi all!

Everything rattling, whistling and howling here. Kiddies in bed, I've just had some of the casserole I didn't put in early enough for their dinner :o so they has leftover spaghetti bolognese and some fruit, cheese and crackers.

DD managed to stay dry today, hurrah. I told her no dressing up clothes, as I think this is what's stopping her going to the loo (too much hassle), so she's been dry all day. Told her we'll do something special just me and her tomorrow :T

Had to dash out earlier to fasten the playhouse door shut, was slamming about but seems ok now. But it was loud and dark and a bit scary, lol, I was glad to get back in and lock the door.

I managed an hour tidying at lunchtime. Sorted under DD bed. I've put her dressing up things away (they were just getting flung on the floor) so now she has some LED push lights, her playmat and little fairy castle under there.

Also sorted through her clothes boxes, if kazwookie is lurking, I have quite a little pile for you!

Anyone heard from skinty or FBO?

DD is finished how for half term, and DS I'll finish on Friday. Gosh they need it. Tired and grumpy is an understatement, lol. Having said that, once they were out of the bath and in pjs I slotted them under the covers in my bed with a DVD on and a banana each, and they've been fine ever since :D

I won't be late to bed myself. I woke at about 2 and it took a while to get back to sleep
