  • First bit of shopping done. Just off out to finish. DD sold a few more bits of mine on the stall, so buffer fund up as well...not touching it. It needs to grow. On target, aiming to come in under budget.

    Great stuff :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • DONE! Presents came in at £109.93 and food was £229.73, which means the grand total was £339.66. £10.34 inside the £350 budget. I shall spend the £10 tomorrow on some Christmas flowers from the market. Should get loads for a tenner. Ta Da! I've amazed myself!
Quick tidy up tomorrow, then take father to his hospital appointment. Christmas can start after that.

  • Thank you so much, everyone. I'm amazed at how many people are interested in following my 'get out of debt' journey. Well, I'm just finishing off a few jobs before finally settling down to enjoy my Christmas. Family have started to arrive, so happiness levels are on the up. Looking back to this time last year, I am a million miles away from the over spending, credit card bashing, keeping up appearances person I was then. I'm really pleased with how I've done this year and know I will never go back to the old money wasting ways. Anyway, onwards and upwards as Broggers would say! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. Have fun.
HB signing off now till after the festivities. Xx
