Frozen & sewit - everything sounds brilliant, fingers crossed for you.

Tea why does AF never do what she do!

I had 4 embryos this morning - 1AA grade embryo was transferred and 1 AB grade embryo was frozen. The other 2 embryos are slightly behind so will be kept in the lab tonight and checked in the morning to see if they're suitable for freezing.

Yay. Congratulations on the PUPO. Fingers crossed.

Confession time.... I started ss'ing about 6am this morning when I was awake again. For the past few days I've woken up 30mins before alarm (last time I did that was when I was pg). Also feel v bloaty... but there is a chance that's creme egg related :o. Thought I'd try out the 'opk as hpt' theory :o. Obviously there was barely a hint of a second line, which on an opk means 'stop being ridiculous, AF is on her way eventually'.

Haven't been on in a while as life has just been s***!!! Won't go into details as it's a public forum but dealing with a lot of major things at the moment and feel like I just can't cope :(

Haven't tracked ovulation or anything this month, so no idea if/when I ovulated. I'm CD30 now and AF comes anywhere between CD29 and CD45 for me, so probably completely missed OV this month. Have had my CD21 bloods done and booked in for CD35 bloods too because of my erratic cycles but can obviously cancel this if AF turns up before then. Also managed to get DH to finally "do the deed" for his SA so hoping that we'll get some answers when we're back at the hospital on the 26th. Though I'm not even sure if TTC is a good idea at the moment with everything we're having to deal with :(

Sorry I've not had a chance to catch up on how everyone is doing but hugs to anyone who needs them x

Hi Kim - to be honest, with 3 successful births behind you, the odds have to be in your favour, sorry the process is taking longer than you'd like though.

I guess the only things likely to have changed are obviously your age (how old are you? It just does take longer when you're older. Even in late 20s, some people find it can take longer than they like!) and your weight - underweight or overweight, both states can slow down fertility.

Have you been to the GP? First steps are usually blood tests - FSH, LH, progesterone to see if you're likely to be ovulating properly. If those tests are fine, you may have to fund any other investigations yourself - but hopefully you won't need any of them, and that elusive BFP will be along before you know it!

    Good luck

  • Hi Chickpea,

    thanks for the reply

i have 4 little ones, i have been to the GP but she said they will not do any tests due to my previous children, i am 26 now and was 23 when i stopped using contraception!

Just disheartening every month when AF comes and its another month of BFN! x

    Ha i'm back!!
Sorry, been very busy and only just had time to return!
Well, our surrogate has a few health issues currently and is waiting on appointments etc to get sorted out, which is a bit of blow, cant be helped though and we both hope shes gets better very soon!!
This left us at a bit of a junction, do we wait (I turn 36 soon) or do we say sod it, and try again ourselves.
Well, we have spoken to our clinic and they in turn had a meeting about us (eeeek!!) and transcribed the meeting to us and what they thought we should do.

Soooo, March 3rd I am having a(nother) endometrium scratch followed by starting flare protocol stims on my next day 1 and doing our own full cycle with Cytacon, extended steroids, injectable progesterone shots (in the bum!) clexane therapy AND intralipid drip infusions. Oh and using the embryscope also.
Top bod at the clinic has given us a 40/50% chance with this cycle with the addition of the Intralipids and the reintroduction of the Progesterone shots!
I'm terrified but strangely optimistics after all these years and all these tries, this might be the time we get our 1 baby that we have fought so long and hard for. Keep the dances going ladies, i'll need it soon!!

Great news Lisa. Fingers crossed that this is your lucky cycle and you have no need of the surrogate.
