When we had our consultation they said our clinic recommends you have all the time off between EC and ET and one day after ET. Don't know of that's normal though?

Understandably, you must be absolutely knackered with it never mind all the additional stress you have to cope with.

Oooh thanks pink! No one has said anything to me about time off or what would be sensible so that's really useful.

She said some women take the whole 2ww off but there's no evidence it has any benefit. She said 24 hours R&R after ET then OK to work as I have a desk job. No high impact exercise during 2ww so time off if your job's physical.

I was surprised about having all the time off from EC to ET, not sure if anyone works any of the days? My work only does 5 days leave per year for fertility treatment so I'm going to use that up and then some holiday too just for one cycle!

I'm tempted to take two days after ET though. Will be soooo paranoid about shaking emby loose! (stupid I know)

6 is a good number GV, you must be really chuffed. Glad you're not in any pain.

PM that is absolutely shocking about your funding!! But sounds like you might finally be getting somewhere if you are seeing a consultant?

LA, I'm with you - laid on the sofa all day watching old episodes of Frasier and trying to take my mind off of it all. This whole process is enough to make you crazy.

Thanks Tea, have calmed down a bit now. Although have a pain quite low on right hand side which is my new worry...

Cheers corrie, how am I supposed to convince OH of the virtues of clean-living when peter barlow is impregnating everyone he looks at...
This made me :rotfl: that storyline is ridiculous and I love it.

Isla I didn't have any bruising either with injections. Acupuncturist said about breathing out as the needle goes in, really helps doesn't it as I think naturally you want to hold your breath.

I had hoped to be off from EC right through until a week post transfer but won't work out that way now. Personally, there is no way I could have worked for at least 2 days after EC last time and felt so wiped out with the relief after getting to ET that I was exhausted and needed to rest. Everyone is different I guess and I know some people like to keep busy but for me work is just another thing to worry about you can do without at times like this.

Pink that's just the tip of the iceberge. I've come to not expect much from the nhs. Really got to call it a night, dead on my feet.

    Night all.
