Eeeeeeeep!!
Went to the GP as I'm sure a lumpy bit of my boob is lumpier than normal, and for the last few months I've had pain there (one boob, one specific spot) before AF (it goes away during AF).
GP was meant to tell me it's nothing and I'm being a hypochondriac, but they could feel something too. They said they can't decide if it's just a load of glandular tissue, or whether there's a cyst underneath. They've done a routine (as opposed to urgent) referral to a breast clinic. If it's a cyst it can be drained which will stop the tenderness.
Me being a total hypochondriac - I'm now terrified it's a bad lump and they just didn't want to tell me. Now my mind's running away with should we DTD this month? What if I get knocked up for the first time in three years of trying and then it turns out I need cancer treatment?! OK, you can all now tell me I'm being utterly ridiculous! The GP said it didn't feel like anything bad. DH says they probably just refer anyone with anything resembling a lump, to be on the safe side.
I'm meant to be relaxing and gearing up for the IVF cycle in a few months. This isn't helping!0 -

La glad to hear your feeling a bit better.
Pink its hard not to worry, but try not to let your fears run away with you. Most lumps turn out to be nothing. Hugs to you though.
Afm started bleeding again, dread to think how long this will last, have called fs to let her know I can't take the hormones anymore but no call back yet.0 -
LA glad you are feeling better today
Hope you have shifted the headache tea
Pink I hope it is nothing to worry about, they would have put it through as urgent if more concerned
I had my blood test 2 weeks ago and not heard anything from the FS, at my appointment she said if it came back as expected they would send me a prescription for clomid- not heard anything yet. Is this a reasonable time frame or should I start chasing them?0 -
Good luck everyone with their cycles, especially with all of the injections. Hope you're feeling well lisawood, I've got my fingers crossed for you!
pink hopefully it will be ok, like Tia said, I think the gp would have made an urgent referral if they were really worried.
Tia, my blood results take about 5 days so I think it's reasonable to chase now.
Hugs partmouse as there's nothing else I can do! I do think you should involve PALS.
Afm, my blood results for month one of clomid showed I ovulated! I'm day 28 today but feeling crampy and grouchy so not going to waste a test. But ovulation is a step in the right direction!!
Take care everyone, look after yourselves. X0 -
Tia I would make contact,no harm in chasing these things up.
Cwtw glad to hear you've ov, it sure is a step in the right direction.
I'm in the old complaints process and waiting to hear what's happening. Think pals will be the next step.0 -

I know this won't help much, but the odds and your GP's reaction all point to it being harmless.
I had a similar experience a few years back - lump on the top side of a boob, referral to clinic. There the consultant examined me, then I had a scan (what would be the boob equivalent of dildocam?!). The results showed it was a lipoma (fatty lump) which are apparently fairly common. Mine needed no treatment as I had no pain, and I am just to be normally vigilant about any changes. I hope that at least helps you know what to expect xxxx
Afm, cd4 here and day 3 of clomid and not a symptom to be spied. On the bright side I have been doing Rosemary Conley classes and have dropped 6.5lb so far, so safely back into 'overweight' BMI. Am relieved and hope I can carry on...
Hugs to all xxxx:rotfl:35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July0 -

LA Glad you are feeling brighter today
tea I am so with you on the EC date front. Finding it harder and harder to make reasons why I don't want to put meetings in / agree to do things etc.
pink I agree with everyone else, I'm sure if your GP was very concerned it would have been swiftly followed up. I hope it is dealt with swiftly and doesn't cause you too much additional stress.
tia I would definitely start chasing them for those results
cwtw That's great news about your ovulation
floaty Well done on the weight loss, that's ace!
AFM I'm okay with the menopur but finding it really hard to get the Cetrotide ones right and not have air bubbles in them, am I just being a complete idiot about them?! Surprisingly blas! about them already which I am relieved about. Just as well because OH gets queasy at the mere mention of me going to do them :rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
Morning all
Crampy crampy crampy. Just about to start taking mefenamic acid for the pain but says speak to dr if your on certain meds and it can make it more difficult to get pg after taking it, just what I need.0
