  • Thanks Mrs T M and thanks everybody for the sympathy!

I think I've got to try and relax about this and stop googling things. I'm just very concious of the ever growing age gap between DD and a new baby.

Oh muso I do the same, although I worry about mine and OH's ages. I know we're both young (I'm 22, he's 30) but with my mum and my grandma both going through the menopause early (grandma was 36, not sure when my mum's was as it took her until she was 39 to be confirmed and it had been years) I'm very conscious of history repeating itself.

With OH I think of his family. His granddad died last year and the last time we visited him at home he asked OH when will he be marrying me and when will we be having babies for him to see. He died six months later. There's also OH's past to think of so we want to try and get pregnancy and birth over and done with so OH feels better about everything as that's the part he's scared of most.

Thanks for the advice Mrs T M, it's so nice having people who are where we want to be at giving us help :)

Thanks for the advice MrsTM, nice to hear from someone on the other side, hope the pregnancy is going well.

Sorry for AF Musogirl, wine and chocolate for you.

As for me (TMI alert) I had a small amount of brown cm today only for 2/3 hours, I'm at 8dpo so fingers crossed that it could be implantation bleeding.
  • Evening All,

Hugs to everyone that needs one and anyone else that would just like one.
Musogirl, so sorry it's not your month - enjoy your reflexology this week - you never know - it might help you along!! One of my clients text me last week to say she's expecting, and she's blaming me - maybe I do have magic hands after all!!

AFM, tomorrow is CD 10, so going to try BD every other day and start my OPK's - see what's happening this month. After the nightmare of last month, I also have a GP appointment for bloods & a scan, see what the devil is happening.. fingers crossed it's not endometriosis rearing it's ugly head again, another cyst on my remaining ovary, or god forbid - the start of an early menopause... Wish me luck ladies - I suspect I may need it. xx

It is. I've been in the hospital three times this pregnancy, but not for anything actually related to the pregnancy! Tomorrow will be 24 weeks, which is a huge day for us, it's viability day. It's the first day that the doctors will resuscitate a baby if it's born early. Our next goal is making it to 30 weeks (95% chance at survival), then the next will be 37 weeks (full term), then it will just be a waiting game!

I think that once you fall pregnant generally women will naturally begin to select healther food, which is naturally lower in cals/bad fat. As you are not just fueling yourself, but a baby.
Well that's what I'm hoping, as I may love a donut/ scone for breakfast, and ignore the lack of nutrition, but would I feed a newborn a donut? No, so why would I feed it that while preggo? I think the advice to eat healthy whilst ttc is so you have developed good habits :o

this made me smile but I just had to tell u with my first I had 8  meals a day in the first 12 weeks. mostly consisting of toast. then 2nd and 3rd trimesters I had to have a buttery croissant from a certain london based sandwich shop….EVERY morning! *hangs head in shame* but hey, lost all the weight after and when ur pregnant, u just gotta eat what u fancy as the sickness can sometimes become over whelming. well, it was for me any how.

Feel a bit sick at the moment and got some weird cramping going on, but not convinced it means anything really....
