Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 11

So when do people test to see if you are pregnant or do you wait for a missed period? When trying for ds1 I didn't test first 4 months as periods were on time the 5th month I tested 2 days before my period was expected as I had been offered a job and wasn't sure if I should take it if I was pregnant, anyway that was the month I became pregnant and the pregnancy test did show positive.

I have known people who say they test every month on the run up to their period. It's Month 3 now trying for number 2 and I was so tempted to test today as I am on day 25 of my cycle but dh talked me out of it.

Also I Just wondered what all the abbreviations stand for on the lists as I don't have a clue of some.

I test quite often in the two week wait but it is pretty pointless, I have tested 4 times already in the last week and it won't change anything but can't seem to help myself! I bought 30 tests off ebay very cheaply and have a digi in the cupboard for if and when I get a positive on the ic. When I fell pregnant the last time (the one we lost) I was testing daily and didn't get a positive until 2 days after af due but with my first I got a positive about 3 days before I was due, think it is just different each time.

I can't help myself and always test early. I got a really early strong BFP at 8dpo with Neve but high HCG levels were part of the reason we lost her so I guess I'd be worried if it happened again! Not to say that all early BFPs are bad news of course just that mine turned out to be.

Evening ladies. Feeling like poop today. Got a temperature of 38.9 C and feeling really achy. Typical it happens now on CD 11 when last month I got a positive opk on CD 12. Not convinced I will get a positive like that this month as been testing since CD 9 and not even a squinter! I wondered why, this morning, my bbt was slightly higher than my pre ov bbt last month, now I know! Not sure I'll be able to use bbt to pin point ov this month, typical....bodies hey :mad:

I tested loads last month but wish I hadn't. Going to wait till at least 12dpo next cycle. Found out at 13dpo last pregnancy.

I couldnt help myself and tested yesterday day 26 of my cycle and it was positive. I am going to test again tomorrow morning. I am feeling a little nauseous today but cant quite believe it. If this little one stays then my little boy will be 2 years 9 months when he/ she is born.

hope to see some of you ladies on the next thread.
