Think I may have missed my surge on the OPK's this month. Been using OPKs since CD8, had a line gradually getting darker on CD11 and CD12. Then yesterday (CD13) the line was faded and today there's nothing at all! So I'm assuming that my surge was probably late on CD12 with OV perhaps yesterday. I've had other OV signs and thankfully have been using fertility friend as well. They predicted my fertile days as CD12, 13 and 14 with OV on 15 (tomorrow) so have managed to get some BDing in other the last couple of days.

I think based on that I probably need to be updated to CD14 1DPO please. Thanks for doing the list Kellykins.

Has anybody else had cycles when they don't get a positive OPK? Last month was the 1st time I used them and had a very clear positive so was expecting it to be the same this month.

I had nothing at all on OPKs until CD22/23 last month, but those lines were nothing likeas strong as the control line. Either I had an anovulatory cycle or those were my positives, as they then faded back to nothing and my AF came 2 weeks later :undecided

Having said that, I'm using different strips this month (started 2 days ago when they arrived), and both days have had faint lines on them when I'm as positive as I can be that I'm not ovulating, so maybe these are more sensitive. Are you using a different brand?

I'm using the same internet cheapies I used last month. Last month there was a very clear progression over about 4 days, of the line getting darker until there was a definite positive. I have read that the surge can sometimes only last for 6-8 hours so I'm thinking it probably occurred in between two testings.

I'm pretty sure I have/or am about to ovulate due to the other symptoms and the last time I was off the pill before we conceived DD I always had very regular 28 day cycles, so I'm hopeful it's all normal.

Well if you've dtd a few times (and maybe an extra one for good luck? :p) you should be in with as good a chance as anyone :)

    Fingers crossed for you!

Lets hope so! I keep seeing all these amazing deals on baby things and thinking should I or shouldn't I, but it would just be tempting fate!

kellykins could I please be removed from the lists. Thank you so much for doing them, it has been very much appreciated.
Unfortunately after what has been a very stressful time for many reasons my relationship has broken down. At the moment I am not even upset, just resigned to the fact. I'm sure the tears will come very soon.
Best of luck to you all and I'm sure I'll be lurking from time to time to see how you are all doing. I have appreciated the support from this thread. X

  • Hi,
Just discovered this thread re TTC - please may I ask a question as you all seem very knowledgeable.
I have PCOS but AF regular - 30 days, being sent for 21 day progesterone test but my doctor says if AF regular then I must be ovulating (but that's not what I've read elsewhere) & to go for the test 14 days before due ie in my case CD16 (I thought the idea was cd21/28 cycle ie 7 days before AF due) I can't argue with her, but am asking for advice here before booking the blood test :D
    Thank you!
